We value proactive partnership, a strategic mindset, and a people-first approach.Role OverviewThe purpose of the role is to work with the team to control the supply of an assigned assortment of materials, services & service Parts. His or her functions based on optimization of existing methods and techniques in conjunction with judgment decisions, anticipating and fulfilling the demands of other departments.The Procurement in Charge will be responsible for managing both the direct and indirect material procurement teams, these activities will include material planning, supply risks & shortages, evaluating suppliers, and identifying projects and tracking savings.Key ResponsibilitiesManages, supervises and develops buyers within the procurement team to meet efficiency and KPI targets of team leaders, senior buyers, buyers and planners. Encourages employees to acquire new or advanced skills/knowledge, and then allows employee to apply what is gained.Responsible for the development and implementation of optimum purchasing processes, procedures and systems and deployment of same through written policies, procedures, training, and effective measures consistent with internal controls.Provides an environment that develops people in a way that achieves departmental objectives. Demonstrates leadership as an individual and as a team leader.In coordination with Procurement Team leader Develops, deploys, supervises and manages sourcing plans and sourcing strategies for products and services required to support company operations and objectives.Responsible for the direction and supervision of the entire procurement Operation utilizing 100 % capability of procurement staff, maintaining a high level of team engagement.Responsible for ensuring effective and smooth relationship and communication with other departments and suppliers.To determine priorities, develops work schedules, and assigns work to team based upon available manpower and resources. Ensures the least disruption to operations and the most effective and efficient means of accomplishment. Ensures the accurate completion of all procurement requests to include the proper documentation of materials and cost expenditures.Manages, supervises and develops buyers within the procurement team to meet efficiency and KPI targets.Motivates and enhances development of reporting personnel through dialogs, skill gap analysis, and training.Carries on a close continuing relationship with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to remain current and keep abreast of market conditions, pricing, and availability as well as resolving procurement problemsPrepares budget plan on yearly basis and monitors the budget implementation from time to time and provide comments/analysis to Procurement Director / Management when requested.Evaluates performance of procurement team on a quarterly basis as a rating official and prepare reports for submission to Procurement DirectorAnalyse data and perform field analysis, making recommendations and decisions of changes that need to be made for improvement.Maintain overall knowledge of the business and work closely with the Procurement team, costing, Finance, Accounting, Business Development, and Legal departments to ensure effective, complete, and accurate data.Work with internal MRP process for all projects from start to close.Contacts suppliers in the event of delivery problems (such as shortages/overages, damages, invoicing discrepancies, etc.) and resolves the problem appropriately.Maintains documentation in accordance with departmental practice and company standards.Inform HOD & Costing department of market/pricing changes that may impact operations or budget.Respond to critical parts supply inquiries and resolve any problems associated with vendor delivery performance.Maintains and supervises focus on value added activities. Can identify and implement alternative, innovative, and creative solutions to drive lowest total cost of ownership. Capable of balancing cost saving opportunity with risk mitigation.Implements and maintains metrics that clearly indicate the performance level of departmental and supplier effectiveness.Initiates suppliers to implement and increase e-Procurement relationships, and/or other continuous improvement opportunities.Demonstrate accountability for all work activities and initiate opportunities to take actions to improve a situation.Anticipates potential objections and persuades others to adopt a different and optimum approach within the area of responsibility.Perform other duties & responsibilities from time to time as may be assigned, to ensure adherence to timelines and processes.RequirementsBachelor degree in Procurement or any related field from an accredited university.Knowledge in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.Skills & ExperienceExperience in split and central A/C Control system.Experience in HVAC systems refrigeration fittings and electrical partsExperience with manufacturing company will be an advantageKnowledge of planning, purchasing & logistics policies, and practicesJoin UsAt SKM Air Conditioning LLC, you will be more than just a Procurement Engineer; you will be an architect of our workforce, directly enabling our mission to provide world-class HVAC solutions.
