Our in-house manufacturing capabilities allow us to maintain complete control over quality, materials and craftsmanship while delivering exceptional bespoke solutions.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead and manage the procurement function for Alpago Manufacturing.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial terms and ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, hardware and services required for our manufacturing and joinery operations.This role requires strong knowledge of the joinery, fit-out and manufacturing industry, as well as excellent commercial awareness and experience managing procurement activities in a fast-paced project environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement procurement strategies and processes to support manufacturing and project requirements.Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing and supplier selection through to purchase orders and delivery.Source and procure timber, veneers, laminates, hardware, finishes, accessories and other materials required for joinery and manufacturing projects.Identify, evaluate and develop relationships with reliable local and international suppliers.Lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing, favourable payment terms and delivery schedules.Review purchase requirements and coordinate closely with production, project, design and technical teams.Ensure the timely procurement and delivery of materials to avoid delays to production and project schedules.Monitor market trends, material availability and price fluctuations to identify cost-saving opportunities.Manage and maintain the approved supplier database and conduct regular supplier performance reviews.Ensure all procured materials meet the required technical specifications and quality standards.Work closely with the warehouse and production teams to optimise inventory levels and material availability.Monitor procurement budgets and expenditure and support cost-control initiatives.Prepare procurement reports and provide regular updates to senior management.Identify potential procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions and price increases, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related field.Minimum 8–10 years of procurement experience, preferably within joinery, interior fit-out, manufacturing or construction.Previous experience in a Procurement Manager or senior procurement role is highly preferred.Strong knowledge of joinery materials, timber, veneers, finishes, hardware and manufacturing processes.Proven experience managing suppliers and negotiating commercial agreements.Strong understanding of procurement planning, cost control and inventory management.Experience working with both local and international suppliers.Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.Strong commercial and analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple procurement requirements in a fast-paced environment.Previous experience in the UAE market is highly desirable.Experience within luxury or high-end residential and hospitality projects would be an advantage.If you have strong procurement leadership experience and a background in joinery, manufacturing or high-end fit-out, we would love to hear from you.
