Location: Doha, QatarJob PurposeThe Procurement Manager plays a key role in developing and executing procurement and sourcing strategy for Beef, Poultry, Lamb and Mutton, supporting the company's expansion into the Qatar foodservice market.The role is responsible for building a competitive international supplier network, developing the required product portfolio, managing supplier negotiations, optimizing landed cost, and ensuring reliable product availability.This position requires strong hands-on experience in international meat and poultry sourcing, supplier development, refrigerated and frozen logistics, sea and air freight, inventory planning, and end-to-end product management.The successful candidate will be expected to manage the full product supply cycle from supplier identification and sourcing through purchasing, shipping, importation, warehousing and replenishment, while continuously identifying alternative suppliers, origins and logistics solutions.Key AccountabilitiesStrategicDevelop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy for Beef, Poultry, Lamb and Mutton, ensuring supply security, competitive cost and consistent product quality.Build and continuously develop international network of meat processors, packers, slaughterhouses, manufacturers and exporters.Identify alternative sourcing countries and suppliers to strengthen supply-chain resilience and reduce dependency on individual suppliers.Develop sourcing strategies based on product specifications, market demand, MOQ, lead time, shelf life, landed cost and working-capital requirements.Negotiate competitive supplier agreements covering pricing, payment terms, MOQ, specifications, lead times and service levels.Continuously monitor international meat and poultry markets, pricing trends, availability and sourcing opportunities.Work closely with Management, Sales, Finance, Quality and Operations to align procurement decisions with the company's commercial objectives.Communication & Working RelationshipInternal Communication:Managing Director, General Manager, Sales, Finance, Quality, Operations, Warehouse, and Commercial Teams.External Communication:International suppliers, meat processors, slaughterhouses, manufacturers, exporters, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, customs brokers, logistics providers, regulatory authorities and service providers.Qualification, Experience and SkillsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Food Industry Management or a related field.Experience: Minimum 7+ years of relevant procurement and supply-chain experience, preferably within meat, poultry, frozen foods or foodservice distribution.Strong specialization and product knowledge in Beef, Poultry, Lamb and Mutton.Proven experience in international sourcing and direct supplier negotiations.Strong knowledge of international meat processors, exporters and sourcing markets.Hands-on experience managing chilled and frozen imports.Strong practical experience with reefer sea freight and food airfreight.Established understanding of freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, customs clearance and import documentation.Strong knowledge of Incoterms, MOQ, payment terms, production lead times, shelf life and supplier contracts.Ability to develop and analyze complete landed-cost models.Strong inventory, purchasing and replenishment planning capabilities.Strong negotiation, commercial and analytical skills.Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing solutions.GCC foodservice market experience is strongly preferred.Experience in Saudi Arabia or Qatar food distribution is an advantage.Existing professional relationships with international meat suppliers and logistics providers will be a significant advantage.Ability to work independently and build procurement and supply-chain processes from the ground up.
