This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute procurement professional who thrives on leading complex negotiations, influencing senior stakeholders, and delivering value through strategic sourcing and contract management.Reporting into the Procurement leadership team, you'll take ownership of indirect procurement categories and drive sourcing activity across a diverse supplier portfolio. You'll be responsible for developing category strategies, leading end-to-end procurement projects, negotiating commercial contracts, and building strong supplier relationships. This role requires someone who is comfortable leading negotiations independently and can confidently manage both the commercial and contractual aspects of supplier engagements.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement category strategies across indirect spend areasLead end-to-end sourcing and procurement projectsNegotiate commercial terms and contractual agreements with suppliersDeliver measurable cost savings and commercial valueBuild strong partnerships with business stakeholdersManage supplier performance and ongoing commercial relationshipsConduct market analysis and supplier assessmentsSupport procurement transformation and continuous improvement initiativesSkills & Qualifications:CIPS qualification - highly desirableProven experience within Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management or Commercial ProcurementStrong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering value and savingsExperience negotiating supplier contracts and commercial agreements directlyAbility to challenge suppliers and stakeholders constructivelyExcellent stakeholder management and influencing skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExperience operating within a complex corporate or regulated environment would be advantageousThis is not a transactional procurement role. We are looking for someone who can combine strategic sourcing expertise with strong commercial judgement and hands-on contract negotiation capability. You'll have the opportunity to lead high-profile supplier engagements, influence senior stakeholders and play a key role in shaping procurement strategy within a respected organisation.
