Job Responsibilities:Overall Responsibility:Overall responsibility for Purchasing and Cost Estimating activities across the business.Create and implement best practice purchasing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.Ensure purchasing strategies align with business objectives, operational needs, and market competitiveness.Manage supplier selection and evaluation processes, including terms and conditions, supplier rationalization, and supply chain solutions.Mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities through proactive evaluation of business challenges.Contribute to the overall business strategy and annual budget process.Take ownership of purchasing policy, guidelines, and associated documents.Initiate and innovate procurement processes, including eProcurement.Purchasing and Supply Chain Strategy:Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies, policies, and procedures.Focus on direct materials categories (Stamping, Forging, Machining, Sheet Metal) at a corporate level.Negotiate and manage strategic contracts and supplier relationships effectively.Drive initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience.Manage day-to-day procurement operations and resources to execute the Procurement Strategy.Collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve cost savings and budget targets.Ensure compliance with financial and purchasing regulations.Collaborate across the supplier network to optimize value for money.Champion sustainable procurement practices aligned with the company's strategic goals.Competencies:TechnicalHave considerable knowledge of commodity purchasing, methods of analyzing suppliers & material, contract language, compliance requirements, and financial risk.Can develop & execute business continuity/strategic plans to provide direction toward the achievement of financial targetsHave a track record of exceptional collaborative relationships with suppliers, contractors and colleagues.BehavioralExposure to various experiences (different companies, different positions, international experience) is very much appreciatedLeadership AbilityCompetence in conflict and crisis managementOpen minded, creative, transparentAble to foresee problems & raise alarm to management in case schedule is getting extended due to unforeseen circumstances.Able to articulate the problems and solutions across to team members.Self-motivated, dynamic, team leaderResult oriented, effective and efficientCan withstand stress and high workloadNegotiation and Influencing AbilitiesRisk management.Communications skills.Commercial acumenContracting SkillsAnalytical & problem-solving skills.
