With a 70-year legacy as part of the Metito family, Metichem has been established as a standalone integrated water treatment entity, committed to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional services to our clients.About the RoleResponsible for performing various duties related to the procurement of chemicals, as well as sourcing and developing new vendors.Manage the procurement process efficiently and effectively to meet operational requirements, while also performing various duties related to supply chain management.Key ResponsibilitiesThe statements below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the employee(s) in this role. The employee may be required to perform additional tasks within reason, at the request of their Supervisor or Manager.Establish and optimize procurement strategies to support the company across all lines of business.Engage in establishing and maintaining strategic business relationships with suppliers, while resolving any service or performance-related issues.Participate in internal and external meetings and coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.Develop procurement policies and procedures; establish and monitor KPIs and metrics for the procurement process.Ensure supplier contracts comply with company and regulatory requirements, including Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards.Lead negotiations with approved vendors for selected projects, ensuring that appropriate commercial, technical, and contractual arrangements are followed.Maintain and build strong relationships with suppliers and brokers to negotiate beneficial agreements at the most competitive costs possible.Ensure the YoY savings agenda is planned, implemented, and materialized, including tendering, price negotiations, hedging, and product development in collaboration with the Technology team.Liaise with the Finance Department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices, supporting business continuity with suppliers.Execute and manage the procurement process for assigned contracts, including bid list requests, preparation and solicitation of quotations, evaluation, negotiation, and contract awards.Ensure contract documents and Requests for Quotation (RFQs) are issued accurately and on schedule.Lead the Procurement team to efficiently carry out their duties and responsibilities in sourcing, ordering, and purchasing, while ensuring competitive pricing and high-quality standards.Support the Procurement team in achieving its objectives and organizational goals.Qualifications & Experience10+ years of relevant experience; experience in chemical procurement is preferred.Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.Master’s degree is a plus, along with relevant supply chain certification.Why Join Metichem?🌍 Join a market leader in sustainable water treatment solutions.🤝 Build lasting relationships in a key customer-facing role.🚀 Be part of an innovative, dynamic, and fast-growing team with real impact on industrial and environmental progress.
