Procurement Manager - Construction Company

Oversee procurement processes and ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services essential for our construction projects. The Procurement Manager will play a critical role in maintaining strong supplier relationships, optimizing purchasing strategies, and maximizing value for the company.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives, project requirements, and budgetary constraints.Source, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors based on quality, reliability, cost, and delivery timelines.Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services.Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, including purchase order creation, order tracking, and supplier performance evaluation.Provide regular reports and updates on procurement activities, performance metrics, and cost savings initiatives to senior management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.25+ year experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the construction industry.Excellent analytical skills to assess supplier capabilities, market trends, and pricing dynamics.Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
