The agency maintains responsive, year-round support and encourages employers to contact them via phone, email, or SMS for prompt assistance with staffing needs.Role Description The Procurement Manager – Hotel Industry will oversee end-to-end purchasing activities for hotel operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services such as food and beverage supplies, housekeeping materials, maintenance items, and guest amenities. This full-time, on-site role is based in Southampton and involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, monitoring inventory levels, and aligning procurement plans with hotel budgets and occupancy forecasts. The role includes evaluating vendor performance, conducting market research to identify new suppliers, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. The Procurement Manager will collaborate closely with hotel management, finance, and operational teams to support service standards, cost control, and continuous process improvement.Qualifications Strong procurement and supply chain skills, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and cost analysis.Experience in hotel or hospitality operations, with understanding of purchasing needs for departments such as F&B, housekeeping, and maintenance.Ability to manage inventory and stock control systems, monitor usage trends, and coordinate timely replenishment.Competence in data analysis and reporting, including use of spreadsheets and procurement or ERP software.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external suppliers.Proven organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and compliance.Background in budgeting and financial awareness, supporting cost optimization and spend tracking.Relevant qualification in procurement, supply chain, business, or hospitality management; professional certifications (e.g., CIPS) are an advantage.Prior experience in a procurement or purchasing role, ideally within the hotel or wider hospitality industry.
