This role offers the opportunity to drive procurement transformation, implement new systems, and engage in high-level contract negotiations and supplier management. The position offers a competitive salary up to approximately 10.2 million JPY and the chance to work in a global environment using business-level English.

Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic sourcing and category management in pharmaceutical indirect procurementNegotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and service providersImplement and improve Source to Pay and Procure to Pay processesManage supplier performance, quality, and compliance in healthcare sectorLead procurement projects including new system rollouts and process redesignCollaborate with global and local stakeholders to align procurement strategiesConduct supplier evaluations and cost optimization initiativesDevelop procurement plans based on global category strategies for Japan marketFacilitate global procurement meetings and prepare related documentationProvide P2P training to internal teams to ensure process complianceDrive cross-functional collaboration to support procurement transformation

Requirements

5+ years in pharmaceutical or healthcare indirect procurementExperience in strategic sourcing and category managementProven contract negotiation and supplier management skillsBusiness-level English proficiency for global meetingsExperience with SAP, Ariba, or similar ERP procurement systemsKnowledge of Source to Pay (S2P) and Procure to Pay (P2P) processesExperience implementing procurement process improvements and system rolloutsAbility to lead cross-functional procurement projectsStrong stakeholder management skills with global and local teamsExperience managing contracts related to CSO, CMR, and R&D servicesFamiliarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in healthcare procurementPresentation skills for internal and external stakeholder communication
