Procurement Manager-Interior Fit out

Mohamed Hilal Group is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities for its Interior Fit-Out Division. The role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for projects, ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, products, subcontractors, and services while maintaining required quality standards.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in interior fit-out, construction, joinery, or contracting, with a solid understanding of project procurement, local and international suppliers, subcontractor management, commercial negotiations, and project timelines.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end procurement process for interior fit-out and construction projects.Review project requirements, BOQs, drawings, specifications, and material schedules to develop procurement plans.Source and evaluate suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, and service providers based on quality, cost, capacity, and delivery timelines.Obtain and compare quotations and negotiate competitive prices, payment terms, lead times, and commercial conditions.Prepare purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and other procurement documentation in line with company procedures.Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Design, Estimation, Site, Finance, and Warehouse teams to ensure procurement aligns with project requirements.Monitor material lead times and ensure timely delivery to sites to avoid project delays.Manage procurement of fit-out materials including finishes, flooring, ceilings, joinery materials, hardware, lighting, sanitaryware, furniture, MEP-related materials, and other project requirements.Develop and maintain a reliable supplier and subcontractor network within the UAE and internationally where required.Conduct supplier evaluations and maintain an approved supplier database.Negotiate with subcontractors and specialist contractors for project-specific works and services.Monitor market prices, material availability, and industry trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.Ensure all purchased materials meet approved specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.Work with the technical and project teams to resolve material substitutions, shortages, quality concerns, and procurement-related issues.Track procurement budgets, commitments, purchase orders, deliveries, and outstanding requirements.Maintain accurate procurement records and provide regular reports on procurement status, savings, pending orders, and potential project risks.Identify potential procurement risks and proactively develop alternative suppliers or sourcing solutions.Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approval processes, and commercial requirements.Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.8+ years of procurement experience, preferably within interior fit-out, construction, joinery, or contracting.Strong knowledge of fit-out materials, construction products, finishes, and subcontractor services.Proven experience managing procurement for multiple projects simultaneously.Strong supplier sourcing, negotiation, and commercial skills.Experience working with BOQs, drawings, specifications, material schedules, and project budgets.Strong understanding of UAE suppliers and the local construction and fit-out market.Experience with ERP/procurement systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.High attention to detail and a strong focus on cost, quality, and timely delivery.Key CompetenciesStrategic & Project ProcurementSupplier & Subcontractor ManagementCommercial NegotiationCost OptimisationMarket & Supplier KnowledgeProject CoordinationAnalytical & Problem-Solving SkillsPlanning & OrganisationStakeholder ManagementAttention to DetailNote: The responsibilities listed above are not exhaustive and may be adjusted based on business and project requirements.
