Uniteam Marine is an international ship management organization that provides industry-leading services to ship owners and ship managers across a wide range of countries and jurisdictions.With immediate effect, we are looking for a Procurement Officer to be based at our office in Limassol, Cyprus.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollects and validates daily requisitions for spare parts, stores, provisions, bonded stores, and services from vessels.Identifies and selects reliable suppliers of provisions and catering items, as well as for spare parts, stores, and services.Liaises with Masters/Chief Engineers for clarifications and ensures timely and accurate requisition processing.Issues RFQs to approved suppliers (with or without fleet agreements); evaluates quotations using procurement systems and prepares case overviews.Supports the Technical Superintendent and Technical Director in vendor selection; negotiates best prices and terms.Obtains and evaluates quotes for quality, price, and delivery terms.Places purchase orders in a timely and cost-effective manner in line with the procurement policy.Coordinates delivery logistics to ensure timely and correct shipment of supplies to the vessel, and informs the ship/agent accordingly.Handles discrepancies in deliveries and initiates corrective action with vendors, including returns and replacements.Manages procurement within allocated budgets.Validates and processes supplier invoices for payment authorization.Maintains appropriate stock records for shore-based inventory (e.g., provisions, bonded stores, working gear, soap, etc.).Handles tenders, special project procurements (e.g., dry dockings, retrofits), and guarantee claims with suppliers/shipyards when assigned.Identifies cost-saving opportunities and implements procurement efficiencies.Ensures procurement practices comply with internal policies, risk management, and the Group Code of Conduct.Applies internal control procedures and maintains confidentiality of procurement documentation.Maintains professional relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, ship personnel, and internal departments.Conducts market research to identify high-performing, cost-efficient suppliers.Job RequirementsUniversity degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.Additional qualifications such as LCCI Higher, CAT, or AAT preferred.Minimum 3-5 years relevant procurement experience in the maritime industry; seagoing experience considered an asset.Excellent command of spoken and written English.Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Familiarity with SAP or similar systems and PMS software (Danaos) is an advantageBenefits13th salary & Birthday bonusProvident fundEmployee discount card schemeFlexible working hoursHybrid working modelCorporate eventsAll CVs will be handled with the utmost confidentiality.
