Apply & track with Apply EdgePurchasing AgentEnvironmental Services Monday – Friday Columbus, Ohio (onsite 5 days a week)Permanent OpportunityWhy You’ll Love This Job: Growing company with opportunities for career developmentMission-driven work that has a direct environmental impact401k with company matchMedical, dental, and vision insuranceWhat You’ll Do: Manage procurement activities across several capital projects as we are actively building and deploying industrial systems, operations, and commercial initiativesPrioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, startup evolving environment with minimal supervisionSource materials, equipment, and services while maintaining strong vendor and supplier relationshipsBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships while negotiating pricing, quality, and delivery termsSupport facility operations through purchasing, vendor management, and service agreementsCoordinate purchasing activities for field projects, including vendor onboarding, purchase orders, and invoice processingIdentify and qualify new suppliers to improve supply continuity and reduce riskForecast purchasing needs based on business demand, inventory levels, and project schedulesManage freight and logistics activities, including carrier coordination, shipment tracking, and issue resolutionMonitor supply chain risks, lead times, and supplier performance while developing contingency plans as neededOversee the full lifecycle of vendor and service contracts, including compliance, change orders, and contract closeoutPartner with cross-functional teams to ensure materials and equipment are delivered on time to support project schedulesUtilize ERP and purchasing systems (Netsuite, Bill.com, SAP) to manage procurement transactions and reportingProcess purchase orders, vendor invoices, and payment documentation using ERP and financial systemsSupport vendor onboarding, supplier data maintenance, and purchasing documentationAssist with contract administration, including vendor agreements, change orders, compliance tracking, and contract closeoutPartner with Operations, Finance, Sales, and other departments to support purchasing initiatives and budget managementWhat Were Looking for: 3–7 years of experience in purchasing, production planning, materials management, supply chain, or a related manufacturing environmentExperience supporting capital projects, manufacturing, industrial, or construction environments preferredAbility to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment with shifting priorities, with a curious mindsetStrong vendor negotiation and relationship management skillsHighly organized with excellent communication and prioritization skillsStrong understanding of production planning, capacity planning, inventory management, and ERP systems (Netsuite, Bill.com, SAP)Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholdersContinuous improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies) is a plusSelf-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work primarily onsite in a professional office or manufacturing environmentProficient with Microsoft Office and other business software applicationsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teamsApply Today!Upload your resume – no cover letter required.
