Procurement Specialist

We are a growing recycling facility looking for an experienced, proactive, and result-driven Senior Procurement Officer / Specialist to join our team.In this role, you will lead end-to-end purchasing operations, sourcing recyclable raw materials, procuring industrial spare parts/equipment, and managing vendor relationships across the UAE to support smooth, uninterrupted plant operations.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Sourcing: Sourcing, evaluating, and securing recyclable raw materials (plastics, cardboard, metals, etc.) at competitive market rates.Spare Parts & MRO Procurement: Partnering with technical and engineering teams to procure machinery spare parts (hydraulics, balers, conveyors, crushers) and operational consumables to prevent plant downtime.Vendor & Contract Management: Building and maintaining a robust network of suppliers; negotiating contracts, payment terms, discounts, and delivery timelines.Cost Optimization: Identifying cost-saving opportunities, analyzing market pricing trends, and ensuring maximum value for operational spending.Logistics & Quality Alignment: Coordinating order deliveries and logistics with suppliers while ensuring all incoming materials and equipment meet quality standards.Reporting & Tracking: Maintaining accurate procurement records, purchase orders (POs), vendor evaluation reports, and operational budgets.Key Qualifications & Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.Experience: 4 to 7 years of proven procurement and sourcing experience within Manufacturing, Industrial Facilities, Contracting/Construction, or similar operational sectors in the UAE.Technical Understanding: Familiarity with industrial spare parts procurement (hydraulics, mechanical components, heavy machinery, or construction materials) and local UAE supplier markets.Core Skills: Strong negotiation, contract management, commercial awareness, and decision-making capabilities.Languages: Professional working proficiency in English (Arabic fluency is a strong advantage).Tools: Proficiency in ERP procurement software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
