Procurement SpecialistSalary ranges from 14-19k, depending on number of years' of relevant experienceSingle status – medical and flights and annual bonus. This role is for a company who provide logistical services to the military and the role is based in Dubai.Applicants for this role should have a Degree in Business Administration or Supply chain Management, at least 3 – 5 years experience in the logistics industry(maritime or shipping). Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to procurement.Professional certification CPSM or CPP is a plus.The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the organization's purchasing activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role involves negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations. The Procurement Specialist works closely with various departments to understand their needs and source the best possible products and services to support the organization’s operations and objectives.Responsibilities include Supplier Management:Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and fostering long-term partnerships.Conducting supplier performance evaluations and addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.Negotiation and Contract Management:Negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and service levels.Ensuring compliance with contract terms and resolving any disputes that arise.Procurement Process Management:Managing the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to purchase order to delivery.Cost Control and Optimization:Identifying opportunities for cost savings and processing improvements in the procurement process.Analyzing market trends to understand the impact on pricing and availability of goods and services.Compliance and Risk Management:Ensuring procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.Identifying and mitigating potential risks related to the procurement process.Collaboration and Support:Working closely with husbanding/inland departments to understand their procurement needs and providing support in sourcing and acquiring necessary goods and services.
