Role DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially minded Procurement Specialist to support sourcing, purchasing, supplier coordination, and procurement activities. The role is responsible for ensuring products, materials, and services are sourced competitively, purchased efficiently, and aligned with business requirements, quality standards, and procurement policies.Key responsibilities include managing procurement requests, sourcing suitable suppliers, requesting and evaluating quotations, comparing pricing and commercial terms, and supporting supplier selection and negotiations. The Procurement Specialist will prepare and manage purchase orders, monitor order confirmations, lead times, product availability, delivery schedules, and follow up on outstanding procurement activities.The role will work closely with purchasing, finance, warehouse, inventory, logistics, operations, product, and other departments to coordinate procurement requirements. Responsibilities may include maintaining supplier information, reviewing supplier documentation, monitoring procurement spend, checking invoices, resolving order discrepancies, and supporting supplier performance reviews.The Procurement Specialist will also conduct market and supplier research to identify sourcing opportunities, alternative suppliers, cost-saving opportunities, and potential supply risks. The role will support procurement reporting, spend analysis, contract and documentation management, and continuous improvement of procurement processes.Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential. The ideal candidate should be commercially aware, proactive, systematic, and capable of managing multiple procurement activities while maintaining accuracy, compliance, supplier relationships, and timely execution.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, or a related discipline.Strong understanding of procurement, sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, purchase orders, and supply chain processes.Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to evaluate supplier quotations, pricing, specifications, commercial terms, lead times, and delivery requirements.Good negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, particularly Excel or spreadsheet applications.Familiarity with ERP, procurement, e-procurement, supplier management, or spend management systems is an advantage.Ability to prepare and manage purchase orders, supplier records, procurement reports, quotations, contracts, and supporting documentation.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify procurement risks, discrepancies, supply issues, and cost opportunities.Good understanding of procurement compliance, documentation, approval processes, and ethical sourcing principles.Ability to conduct supplier and market research and evaluate potential sourcing opportunities.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Proactive, responsible, adaptable, collaborative, commercially aware, detail-oriented, and committed to cost efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
