About the CompanyAn international engineering and construction company is seeking an experienced Procurement Team Lead to join its growing team in Abu Dhabi. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale, technically complex projects within a high-performing procurement team, supporting the successful delivery of major construction programmes across the UAE.About the RoleThe Procurement Team Lead will be responsible for leading the procurement of subcontract packages, ensuring commercial value, programme compliance and the successful engagement of key supply chain partners.ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end procurement of subcontract packages across Civil or MEP disciplines.Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project and business objectives.Source, prequalify and manage subcontractors across the UAE market.Prepare and issue enquiries, evaluate commercial and technical submissions, and lead negotiations.Award subcontracts and manage the procurement process through to contract execution.Work closely with commercial, project and engineering teams to ensure procurement activities support programme milestones.Build and maintain strong relationships with key subcontractors and suppliers.Ensure procurement activities comply with company governance, contractual requirements and industry best practice.QualificationsProven experience in subcontract procurement for a main contractor or specialist engineering contractor.Strong UAE market knowledge with an established network of Civil or MEP subcontractors.Experience procuring subcontract packages on large-scale construction projects.Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple procurement packages in a fast-paced project environment.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Based in the UAE or able to relocate to Abu Dhabi.Required SkillsStrong background in subcontract procurement.Experience with internationally recognised contractors delivering complex engineering projects.Pay range and compensation package30,000 AED + Medical + Schooling + Flight AllowanceIf you have a strong background in subcontract procurement and are looking to join an internationally recognised contractor delivering complex engineering projects, I would be pleased to discuss this opportunity in confidence.
