Procurement Transformation Lead

Job OverviewA hands-on transformation role supporting the CPO to accelerate the design and implementation of priority Procurement transformation initiatives. The role owns selected transformation workstreams from concept through detailed process design, business requirements, stakeholder alignment, implementation and stabilization. It provides dedicated transformation capacity beyond the Procurement Managers’ day-to-day operational responsibilities and is not a Procurement operations, category management or PMO coordination role.Key AccountabilitiesSupport the CPO in shaping and accelerating priority Procurement transformation initiatives, converting strategic objectives into practical and executable workstreams.Own assigned transformation workstreams end-to-end, from initial concept and problem definition through detailed design, stakeholder alignment, implementation support and stabilization.Structure Procurement improvement initiatives and translate high-level objectives into practical processes, governance mechanisms, tools, decision frameworks and implementation plans.Develop detailed business requirements for Procurement-related system enhancements and work closely with IT and system partners to translate business needs into workable solutions.Design fit-for-purpose Procurement processes, operating procedures, templates, KPIs, dashboards and management tools that improve control, efficiency, transparency and decision-making.Coordinate implementation across Procurement, Finance, Projects/Operations, IT and other relevant stakeholders, resolving dependencies and driving agreed actions to closure.Support solution testing, user acceptance, rollout, adoption and post-implementation stabilization of new Procurement processes and digital tools.Track implementation issues, risks, decisions and corrective actions, escalating material matters to the CPO where required.Prepare concise, high-quality management materials, analyses and recommendations to support CPO and stakeholder decision-making.Support change adoption by translating new processes and tools into clear guidance, communications and practical ways of working for Procurement and business users.Maintain a strong delivery focus, ensuring transformation initiatives move beyond analysis and design into practical implementation and measurable business outcomes.Key Performance Areas (KPAs)Delivery of assigned transformation milestones and workstreams within agreed scope and timelines.Quality, practicality and completeness of process designs, business requirements, governance tools and implementation deliverables.Effective implementation and stabilization of new Procurement processes, systems and tools.Timely closure of implementation issues, dependencies and agreed actions.Stakeholder alignment and adoption across Procurement and relevant cross-functional teams.Contribution to measurable improvements in Procurement efficiency, governance, visibility and control.Quality and clarity of management recommendations and decision-support materials.Qualifications/RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Finance or a related discipline; relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience, with a significant portion gained in Procurement transformation, Procurement consulting, Procurement excellence or related implementation roles.Strong knowledge of Procurement operating models and core source-to-pay (S2P) processes.Exposure to Procurement digitalization, ERP, eProcurement or S2P implementation is highly desirable.Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capability, combined with a pragmatic, hands-on delivery mindset.Ability to translate complex business needs into detailed processes, business requirements and workable implementation solutions.Ability to independently develop high-quality deliverables with limited supervision and manage multiple priorities.Confident cross-functional stakeholder management across Procurement, Finance, Projects/Operations and IT.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for management-level decision-making.Consultant from a Tier-1 or Big-4 consulting firm, provided a significant share of projects involved in Procurement and included hands-on implementation experience.Industry Procurement Transformation / Procurement Excellence candidates may be considered where they demonstrate strong process-design, digital implementation and end-to-end delivery credentials.Must demonstrate experience progressing work from concept → detailed process design → business requirements → implementation; profiles limited primarily to analysis, strategy development, category management, Procurement operations or PMO coordination are not the target for this role.
