Product & Technology Lead (Digital Assets)

This is a rare opportunity to join at a foundational stage, where you will own the technical direction, architect institutional-grade infrastructure, and help scale a global digital asset ecosystem.Who This Role Suits: A builder, not just a managerComfortable navigating ambiguity and fast-changing environmentsPassionate about digital assets, crypto infrastructure, and financial innovationReady to relocate and based in Dubai (periodic travel to Kuala Lumpur)Note: We are particularly keen to speak with Mandarin-speaking blockchain and digital asset professionals with experience collaborating across Asia, who are open to relocating to DubaiKey Scope: Own and execute the technical roadmap for digital asset platformsArchitect and build secure, scalable infrastructure across custody and transaction layersLead engineering efforts across blockchain integrations, settlement systems, and platform servicesEnsure institutional-grade security (HSM, MPC, multi-sig, SOC2 standards)Partner closely with Product, Risk, and Compliance teamsIntegrate external providers (nodes, oracles, market data, monitoring tools)Define and optimise platform performance metrics (uptime, latency, throughput)Stay ahead of DeFi, blockchain protocols, and custody innovationsThe ideal candidate should be/have: 8+ years in software / platform engineering, with 4+ years in blockchain or digital assetsStrong hands-on experience in:Custody infrastructure (HSM, MPC, key management)Smart contracts (Solidity, Rust, or similar)Blockchain protocols & digital asset ecosystemsExperience building financial platforms (payments, settlement, asset systems)Strong cloud expertise: AWS / Azure, Kubernetes, microservices, CI/CDAbility to operate in a fast-paced, build-from-zero environmentPrior work at a licensed exchange, custodian, or digital bankExperience with core banking system integrations for fiat settlementContributions to open-source blockchain or DeFi projectsFamiliarity with real-world asset (RWA) tokenisation standardsAble to liaise with China counterparts to collaborate with cross-border engineering teams
