If you own something here, you genuinely own it.ISWHAT THIS JOB ACTUALLY IS:Three things sit with you, and nobody else.First, you decide what ships. Our inspection agency in China inspects every order and sends a report. You read it, you judge it, and you give the go or no-go. If you say no, it does not leave the factory.Second, you own every certification. CB, CE, G-Mark, ESMA, SASO and whatever a new market demands. You keep them valid, you renew them before they lapse, and you make sure a launch is never held up waiting on paperwork.Third, you own the product document library. Every SKU, every report, every certificate, current and findable in seconds.Right now this work is spread across supply chain, product managers and the wider team. We are bringing it into one pair of hands, because it is too important to be everybody's side job.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Inspection review and shipment approvalRead and verify every pre-shipment inspection report from our inspection agency in China.Give a clear go or no-go on every shipment, in writing, within 24 hours of receiving the report.Define what gets checked. Build product-specific inspection checklists, AQL levels and approved golden samples so the agency is testing the right things.Verify that what came off the production line matches what we certified. Same components, same ratings, same markings.When a shipment fails, drive the fix. Agree the corrective action with the factory, confirm the rework, and re-inspect before release.Track failures by factory and by product so we can see who is improving and who is not.Certification, end to endOwn CB reports and CE documentation. Keep them valid, correctly scoped to the right models and ratings, and renewed ahead of expiry.Run UAE certification through MoIAT, including ECAS and EQM registration and UAE RoHS.Run Saudi certification through SABER, including SASO, PCOC and SCOC.Run G-Mark under the GCC low voltage regulation.Open new markets. When we enter South Africa, Australia, the UK or anywhere else, you work out what is required, get it done, and deliver it by the launch date.Review supplier test reports against the right standards, including IEC 60335-1 and the applicable Part 2 standards, and EMC requirements. Close the gaps before submission, not after.Handle food contact compliance for anything that touches food. Baskets, inner pots, coatings. Migration test reports and the market registrations that go with them.Check that plugs, cords, rating labels, packaging, Arabic labelling and manuals meet each market's requirements before production is locked.Work with test labs and certification bodies, and keep on top of regulation changes in our markets before they catch us out.Barcodes and product dataOwn GS1 barcode registration for the full range. Allocate GTINs, register products, and keep the GS1 data accurate and current.Make sure every new SKU has its barcode registered and live before it reaches a retailer or a marketplace.Documents and reportingMaintain a SKU-level tracker covering every certificate, its validity, its renewal date and exactly which models it covers.Flag anything that triggers re-testing. A new heating element, a different coating, a change of supplier.Keep a complete document pack per SKU so we can answer any retailer, customs officer or regulator the same day they ask.Report to management every week on shipments approved and held, certifications in progress, and anything at risk.Be our point of contact if a customs hold or a regulator query comes up, and get it resolved.WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:These are requirements, not preferences.5 years or more in product compliance, certification or quality, working with consumer appliances, electronics or a closely related category.You have personally reviewed pre-shipment inspection reports and made the call to release or hold a shipment. Not supported someone who did. Done it yourself.Hands-on experience managing CB reports. This is the single most important requirement and we will test it.Experience with CE documentation and at least one GCC scheme, whether that is ECAS, EQM, G-Mark or SABER.You know IEC 60335 and what the Part 2 standards mean for the products you have worked on.Experience working with third-party inspection agencies such as V-Trust, SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek or QIMA.Serious documentation discipline. You can hold dozens of SKUs, certificates and expiry dates straight without anything slipping.Excellent written and spoken English. You will write to factories, labs and regulators. Precision matters.At least 4 years continuous service with one employer in your recent history. We are not interested in people who move every 18 months.A bias for action. You chase the lab, you call the factory, you close the gap. You do not wait to be asked twice.PREFERRED, NOT ESSENTIAL:GS1 barcode registration experience.Experience opening certification in a brand-new market from scratch.Degree in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering.Experience with TDRA type approval for connected products.Knowledge of PFOA and PFAS restrictions on non-stick coatings.Mandarin.WHO THIS JOB IS NOT FOR:Being honest here saves everyone time.If you have only worked in a factory quality team inspecting your own production, this is different work.If you have coordinated certification rather than owned it end to end, this is not for you.If you are comfortable letting a certificate lapse and dealing with it later, this is not for you.If you need someone else to make the call on a borderline inspection report, this is not for you.HOW WE MEASURE YOU:Six numbers.
