With studios across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Australia and North America, our multicultural team delivers timeless, innovative design.About the Role We are looking for a Product Designer who combines creativity, technical skill and a strong commercial mindset. You will lead the design and development of custom furniture for luxury hospitality and residential projects from concept to completion: from sketch and research through construction drawings, prototyping, supplier coordination and delivery, taking responsibility for each bespoke piece throughout its journey.Excellence in custom-made furniture is central to this role. You will work from briefs prepared by the FF&E team and design within each project's narrative and graphic language, translating them into threedimensionalform. Work closely with the interior and FF&E teams to define the need in order to design and deliver the piece, ensuring it meets the quality and refinement our clients expect.Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of custom furniture for luxury hotel and residential projects, from concept sketches through construction drawings, prototyping and delivery, working from briefs defined by the FF&E and interior design teams.Drive the full product development cycle, from appearance and structure design through to functional detailing, ensuring outcomes align with brand positioning and the project's established narrative and graphic language.Design with sustainability, ergonomics, durability and practicality in mind alongside aesthetics, appropriate to the demands of luxury hospitality use.Produce accurate 3D drawings and high-quality renderings; test ideas through prototypes and models, evaluate results and iterate designs before finalising, partnering with structural engineers and suppliers to resolve aesthetic and technical questions at the sample stage.Conduct early-stage market and design research; collect international hotel design trends, analyse materials, colours and popular culture, attend trade shows and industry events, and translate insights into innovative design solutions for the brand.Communicate effectively with manufacturers throughout production to maintain quality standards, control output and ensure designs are executed faithfully.Develop selling-point descriptions and visual presentations for product detail pages and client pitches, consistent with the project narrative established by the design team.Deliver completed pieces back to the FF&E team for scheduling, specification and installation, and ensure furniture and product lines complement the broader spatial concepts developed across CCD's global studios.About You You are a product designer with a refined aesthetic sensibility, a strong technical foundation and a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to deliver commercially successful hotel product and custom furniture designs.• 5+ years' experience in product design, with proven hotel product design cases; custom furniture experience is essential, and work in the fragrance or tableware/utensil categories is valued.• Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial Design, Product Design, Furniture Design, Art Design or a related discipline; overseas study experience is preferred.• Strong knowledge of furniture styles, construction and trends, with unique insights into furniture design and keen market intuition.• Ability to sketch ideas by hand and produce construction drawings suitable for manufacture.• Proficient in 3D modelling and rendering software (Rhino, KeyShot, ProE/Creo or C4D) and graphic design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); familiarity with CAD, 3ds Max and design research methods is preferred.• Deep understanding of materials (glass, ceramics, wood, metal, upholstery, etc.), manufacturing processes and cost control, with the ability to balance design ambition with producibility, sustainability and ergonomics.• Good aesthetics and taste, with the ability to carry a coherent design language across an entire product line and align it with a project's narrative.• Well-organised, detail-focused and capable of managing multiple workstreams, deadlines and stakeholder expectations across time zones.• Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and as part of a team, communicating clearly within a global, multi-studio environment.Why Join CCD • Opportunity to design custom furniture for luxury hotel and residential projects.• Exposure to a global design practice with studios in Asia, the Middle East and Europe.• A creative, supportive culture that values initiative, craft and continuous design exploration.If this role aligns with your experience and ambition, please apply with your CV and portfolio (including product design cases, renderings and documentation examples), plus a short note on two recent projects and your contribution to each.
