Company DescriptionSpur (https://spur.so) is an agentic CRM for businesses that sell to consumers over chat. 600+ businesses across 50+ countries run on Spur, around 5 million conversations a month: ecommerce brands first, and increasingly anyone whose customers message them on WhatsApp and Instagram, from real estate and travel to education, clinics and services. Every WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, email and live chat message lands in one inbox with AI handling most of it, and the same platform runs their campaigns, lead follow-up, abandoned cart recovery and website conversion.We're bootstrapped and profitable. Zero external funding, zero marketing spend. We're 12 people: 2 founders, 3 engineers, 5 in customer success, 1 founding marketer, 1 AE.Role DescriptionThree engineers, two founders, 600+ brands running their entire customer conversation on what we've built, and nobody whose job is how it works. That's what we're fixing.You'll build our design system and then make it stick, which is the harder half: the components, the patterns, the rules, and the conversations with engineers about why a rule exists. A system nobody follows is a Figma file, not a system.The rest of the job is design decisions, end to end, and at Spur that means more than screens. When Meta ships something new on WhatsApp, you're the person who reads the documentation, talks to the engineers about what it costs to build, talks to merchants about whether they'd use it, and comes back with what we should build and how it should work. You'll sit with customer success, who hear every complaint, and with the AE, who hears every objection, and neither of them will have to chase you for it.You'll probably be a fit if youHave built a design system that other people actually used, and can tell us how you got them to use itTalk to customers yourself instead of receiving their opinions secondhandRead platform and API documentation without being thrown by itHave shipped in a small team with no PM layer and no handoff ceremonyUse AI daily and have built something with it, even a no-code automation, to kill a repetitive taskBonus pointsYou've designed for messaging, commerce, or anything with a real-time inbox in itYou've worked on a Shopify app, or with Shopify merchantsYou write front end code well enough to prototype, or to argue with an engineer in their own termsYou know the WhatsApp Business API or Meta's business tools from the insideLogisticsFive days a week in our Green Park, Delhi officeYou'll be the first designer here, working directly with both founders and all three engineersAppraisals every 12 months.
