Senior Product Designer – Golf Softgoods & AccessoriesGhost Golf | Irvine, California | Full-Time | On-SiteGhost Golf is one of the fastest-growing premium brands in golf. We create high-performance golf bags, accessories, and apparel for golfers who value exceptional quality, thoughtful functionality, and modern design.As we continue to grow, we are making a significant investment in our softgoods categories. This includes golf bags, travel products, belts, headcovers, pouches, organizers, small accessories, and a complete luggage ecosystem designed for the modern golfer.We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer – Golf Softgoods & Accessories to lead the design and development of products across these categories. The ideal candidate has extensive experience bringing premium softgoods from initial concept through manufacturing, with a deep understanding of materials, construction, functionality, and factory development.This is a full-time, on-site position based in Irvine, California. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available.The Role: The Senior Product Designer will play a key role in shaping the future of Ghost Golf’s softgoods product portfolio.This position extends beyond golf bags. You will improve existing products, develop new categories, and create cohesive product systems that bring the Ghost Golf design language to every part of the golfer’s experience.You will collaborate closely with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to deliver products that meet the highest standards of design, quality, performance, and durability.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop premium golf softgoods aligned with Ghost Golf’s brand and product standards.Lead projects across golf bags, travel bags, luggage, belts, headcovers, pouches, organizers, cases, and related accessories.Improve existing products while identifying opportunities for new categories, features, materials, and construction methods.Develop a complete golf travel system, including carry-on luggage, checked luggage, duffels, backpacks, garment bags, shoe bags, and travel accessories.Create cohesive collections that share a consistent design language across multiple product categories.Translate concepts into detailed sketches, technical drawings, specifications, and production-ready tech packs.Select and source fabrics, leathers, synthetic materials, webbing, trims, hardware, zippers, closures, reinforcements, and structural components.Work directly with factories to review samples, refine construction, solve development challenges, and improve manufacturability.Manage prototypes and samples throughout development, testing, and pre-production.Evaluate products for functionality, durability, fit, comfort, quality, cost, and manufacturability.Collaborate with product, sourcing, creative, marketing, and leadership teams throughout the development process.Research new materials, technologies, consumer trends, and manufacturing techniques relevant to golf softgoods.Manage multiple product-development projects while maintaining deadlines and development calendars.QualificationsMinimum of seven years of professional softgoods or accessory design experience.Experience designing golf products, bags, luggage, belts, headcovers, small accessories, or comparable technical softgoods.Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Fashion Design, Accessories Design, or a related discipline from a recognized design school.Proven ability to create detailed, production-ready tech packs and specifications.Strong understanding of softgoods construction, materials, patterning, assembly, and product engineering.Experience developing both structured products and smaller sewn or constructed accessories.Experience working directly with overseas factories and manufacturing partners.Strong knowledge of fabrics, leather, synthetic materials, trims, webbing, hardware, zippers, and related construction techniques.Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and standard product-development tools.Ability to manage multiple product categories and development projects simultaneously.Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.Preferred ExperienceDirect experience designing products for the golf industry.Experience developing coordinated softgoods or accessory collections across multiple categories.Experience designing golf bags, headcovers, belts, luggage, or travel systems.Experience working with premium materials and high-end consumer products.Experience collaborating with manufacturing partners in Asia.Understanding of golfer needs, equipment, travel, and on-course functionality.Candidates without direct golf industry experience may still be considered if they have exceptional experience designing premium accessories, luggage, bags, or technical softgoods.What Success Looks LikeThe ideal candidate brings:Broad expertise across softgoods, bags, accessories, and product construction.Exceptional attention to detail and product execution.The ability to translate one design language across products of different sizes and functions.A strong understanding of how materials, construction, and hardware influence quality and performance.The ability to balance design vision, functionality, cost, and manufacturability.Confidence working directly with factories to refine and improve products.A passion for golf, premium design, and creating exceptional consumer products.Location: This is a full-time, in-office position based in Irvine, California.
