Invented by founder Angie Cella, our patented styling tool applies genuine crystals directly to the hair, making it easy to create bold, customizable looks in seconds.As blinger® expands its women’s beauty line and continues growing its established girls’ product line, we are looking for an experienced product development leader who can transform ideas into innovative, commercially successful products.Our mission is simple: brighten lives.Position OverviewThe Product Development & Innovation Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.This role will lead the product development process from initial concept through manufacturing and market launch, with an immediate focus on expanding the blinger® women’s beauty line. The ideal candidate is a hands-on product developer who combines creativity with strong technical, commercial, and project-management skills.Working closely with the founder, this person will help translate creative ideas into clear product concepts, determine feasibility, develop prototypes, manage testing and revisions, and coordinate with designers, manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams.This is an opportunity to help shape the future of an emerging beauty category and build products designed for major beauty, specialty retail, e-commerce, and broadcast-shopping channels.Key ResponsibilitiesLead product development from concept ideation through design, prototyping, testing, sourcing, manufacturing, packaging, and commercialization.Partner directly with the founder to translate product ideas and creative direction into actionable product specifications and development plans.Drive the development and expansion of the blinger® women’s beauty line while supporting innovation across the company’s broader product portfolio.Conduct beauty, fashion, accessory, and consumer trend research to identify new product and category opportunities.Analyze competitive products, customer feedback, sales performance, and market data to guide product decisions.Create and manage seasonal product roadmaps, development calendars, project timelines, budgets, and launch milestones.Develop product briefs that clearly define the consumer need, product features, target pricing, positioning, packaging requirements, and success criteria.Source and evaluate materials, components, packaging, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.Request, review, and manage prototypes and product samples, providing clear feedback throughout each round of development.Coordinate product testing, quality assurance, safety, performance validation, and regulatory compliance.Manage product costing and value engineering to achieve quality, pricing, and margin goals.Maintain detailed product specifications, sample records, approvals, timelines, and vendor documentation.Identify risks, delays, cost concerns, and production challenges early and recommend practical solutions.Partner with marketing, sales, operations, and leadership to prepare products for successful retail and direct-to-consumer launches.Support retailer presentations, trade shows, buyer meetings, and product demonstrations as needed.Evaluate existing products and recommend improvements based on performance, consumer feedback, quality, and profitability.Manage multiple product-development projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.QualificationsFive or more years of product development experience within beauty, cosmetics, hair accessories, fashion accessories, jewelry, toys, or another consumer-products category.Beauty product development experience is strongly preferred.Proven experience taking physical consumer products from initial concept through manufacturing and launch.Hands-on experience with prototyping, sampling, product testing, packaging development, sourcing, and quality assurance.Strong understanding of product costing, margins, minimum order quantities, production timelines, and vendor negotiations.Experience working directly with domestic and international manufacturers and suppliers.Strong project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple products, deadlines, vendors, and priorities.Ability to balance creative vision with technical feasibility, customer needs, cost targets, and commercial objectives.Strong analytical skills and the ability to use market research, consumer insights, and product-performance data to guide decisions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized, resourceful, proactive, and comfortable creating structure in a growing company.Comfortable working closely with a founder and moving quickly from ideas to execution.Bachelor’s degree in product development, product design, engineering, business, fashion merchandising, beauty, or a related field is preferred.Proficiency with product-development, project-management, and design-collaboration platforms is a plus.Ability to work full-time on-site in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.Ability to travel for supplier meetings, production reviews, trade shows, and industry events as needed.What Success Looks LikeA clear, actionable innovation roadmap for the women’s beauty category.Strong product concepts that move efficiently from idea to prototype and production.Development projects delivered on time, within budget, and at the required quality level.Improved organization, visibility, and accountability across the product-development process.New products that meet real consumer needs and support the long-term growth of blinger®.Why Join blinger®?You will have the opportunity to work directly with the inventor and founder, influence the future of the brand, and play a major role in developing an emerging beauty category.
