Product Engineer | $220k - $300k Some engineering jobs are about maintaining what already exists. This one is about deciding what exists next. I'm working with a well funded, early stage AI company in NYC that is taking on a huge, established industry and rebuilding it from the ground up.The company has raised significant venture backing, is growing quickly, and has deliberately kept the engineering team small. That's important. Because if you join now, you won't be engineer number 147.You'll be one of the people deciding how the product works, how the technology evolves and, ultimately, what the company becomes. They're looking for an exceptional Product Engineer who wants to operate at the sharp end of a company.Someone who has probably spent time in a startup before.Someone who doesn't need a PM to tell them exactly what to build. You might spot something broken in the user experience in the morning, spend the afternoon building the fix, and have it in front of customers that evening. You will work across product, engineering and AI.You'll have access to the founders. You'll talk directly to users. You'll own things from the first idea through to production. And you'll be expected to have opinions. The company is using AI to fundamentally change how an entire professional service is delivered. That means the engineering problems aren't particularly ordinary. AI agents that actually do useful work. Products that understand context rather than simply displaying information. Interfaces that adapt intelligently to the person using them. Systems that turn huge amounts of messy real-world data into something genuinely useful. And plenty of problems that haven't been solved yet. That's the attraction. There is no playbook. Who I'm looking for; You don't need to have worked at a famous company. In fact, I'd rather speak to someone who has built something from scratch. You might be:A strong product minded engineer at a startupAn early engineer who has helped take a product from 0→1A full-stack engineer who wants considerably more ownershipAn engineer from a high growth environment who is ready to get much closer to the actioYou should be technically excellent, commercially curious and comfortable with ambiguity. You should enjoy building. And you should care about the thing you're building; not just the code. Why now? Because this is the point where joining a company can still change your career. The team is small. The product is moving quickly. The funding is there. The ambition is enormous. And there is still plenty left to define. You can join when your decisions actually matter.NYC; full-time in office. If you're an exceptional engineer who has been through a startup and wants to get much closer to the founders, the product and the opportunity, I'd like to speak.Apply below or message me directly.GarethFudo Partners
