Product Manager - Business Applications – Aviation / Transportation / Logistics**Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE, Onsite ****12-Month Contract - Extendable **Salt is partnering with a major organisation operating within the UAE’s aviation and logistics ecosystem to appoint an experienced Product Manager (Business Applications).This is a senior, hands-on technology leadership role with ownership of a portfolio of business-critical applications supporting complex, high-volume operations. You will connect technology strategy with operational priorities—shaping the applications roadmap, strengthening service delivery and driving the modernisation of the wider technology estate.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the strategy, performance and full lifecycle of critical business applications.Translate operational requirements into clear product roadmaps, prioritised backlogs and investment cases.Lead application change, release and configuration management within an established governance framework.Develop a scalable application-support operating model aligned with ITSM best practice.Improve service performance through proactive monitoring, root-cause analysis, knowledge management and continuous improvement.Guide application architecture, integration and data alignment across cloud, API and middleware environments.Partner closely with infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, data and operational teams.Manage strategic technology vendors, contracts, service levels and commercial performance.Identify opportunities to simplify the application landscape, improve resilience and reduce overall technology costs.Use automation, AI, process mining and RPA to remove manual processes and improve operational efficiency.Lead discovery sessions and innovation initiatives, taking new ideas from concept through to proof of value.What we’re looking for7+ years of experience managing enterprise or mission-critical business applications.Strong industry experience within aviation, airports, cargo, ground handling, logistics, transportation or another complex 24/7 operational environment.Proven ownership of application strategy, roadmaps, releases, service performance and ongoing improvement.Experience establishing or leading an application-support function.Strong understanding of IT service management, SLAs, OLAs and operational governance.Knowledge of modern application integration, APIs, cloud platforms and enterprise data environments.Demonstrable experience managing technology vendors, contracts and commercial performance.Confidence engaging with senior executives, technology leaders and frontline operational teams.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology or a related discipline.ITIL certification is strongly preferred; PMP, Agile or SAFe qualifications would be advantageous.Why consider this opportunity?This is a highly visible role offering the opportunity to shape an organisation’s applications strategy, build a high-performing support function and influence a significant digital-transformation agenda within a mission-critical operational environment.If you have the relevant applications leadership and aviation or logistics experience, please apply through LinkedIn or contact Salt directly for a confidential discussion.
