The ideal candidate will work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into product features, manage the backlog, and support the delivery of high-quality financial products and solutions. This role requires strong analytical thinking, domain knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Planning and Requirement ManagementWork with stakeholders to understand business needs and convert them into detailed user stories and requirementsParticipate in defining product roadmaps and feature prioritization aligned with business goalsEnsure user stories include clear acceptance criteria and support development teams during refinementBacklog OwnershipMaintain, groom, and prioritize the product backlog to ensure clarity and readiness for developmentCoordinate with engineering, design, and QA teams to ensure smooth sprint executionIdentify dependencies, constraints, and risks early in the planning cycleCross-Functional CollaborationAct as the primary point of contact for product-related clarificationsWork closely with stakeholders across business, operations, compliance, and engineeringFacilitate sprint ceremonies including planning, reviews, and retrospectives as neededProduct Delivery and QualitySupport end-to-end product lifecycle from requirement gathering to UAT and post-release validationMonitor product performance and gather user feedback for improvementsEnsure products adhere to financial, regulatory, and security standardsCustomer and Market InsightUnderstand customer pain points and market trends to contribute to product improvementsConduct functional analysis and benchmark features relevant to Payroll and HR Systems (mandatory), FinTech (secondary), and HR Systems solutionsRequirementsRequired Qualifications5-8 years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in Payroll and HR Systems (mandatory), FinTech (secondary), or Financial ServicesStrong understanding of financial workflows such as payments processing, payroll calculations, banking operations, reconciliation, compliance, or tax logicHands-on experience writing user stories, managing backlogs, and working in Agile environmentsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsExperience in API-driven product development or system integrationsExposure to digital banking platforms, payroll engines, or financial automation toolsFamiliarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory requirementsCertifications such as CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe Product Owner are preferred
