Tailor my CV for this job — freeProduct Owner - London hybrid - £60-70kMost PO roles doing the rounds right now are backlog admin dressed up as strategy. You inherit someone else’s mess, keep tickets moving, and never get near the parts that actually shape the product. This one’s the opposite. You’d own the next phase of a platform that’s already live, already trusted, and already compulsory across a global business. It’s one of the most used products in the company, so when it gets better, thousands of people feel it. The foundations are in, and the job now is taking it well beyond the first version, building what users are actually asking for. You’d sit inside a digital team embedded in a much larger business. They’ve run like a startup for years, building their own products, with global backing and without most of the red tape. It’s a logic-heavy role. You’ll be the person who can look at the data and the rules behind it and work out what happens downstream when something changes, then explain it clearly to engineers and stakeholders. Design is already covered by a strong product designer, so your focus is the thinking behind the product and getting it delivered.Day to day, you’d be working with:A Senior Product Manager who owns the domain and is your line managerA product designer, plus analysts who act as your runnersA blended engineering team, with capacity being added over timeDelivery is a flexible scrum, not sprint theatre, with real weight on finishing what’s in flight before pulling in new work. They use AI tooling day to day, but stories are still written and owned by humans. What we’re looking for:Strong data and business logic: you can work out what happens if we do X, and whyReal experience working day to day with engineering teams in a cross-functional, CI/CD environmentConfident dealing with stakeholders. You bring people with you, but you’ll challenge senior people when a decision doesn’t stack up, and make a call without needing to build up to itSomeone who can get up to speed quickly and run with autonomy in a complex areaA product analyst or PO background works well here. A compliance or contracts-type background is a bonus, but not essentialPeople stay here, and POs get to move across different products as new things get built. The process is simple: a conversational first chat with the Senior PM and the product team, a practical exercise on a real data set that you talk the team through, then a final conversation in the office.£60,000 - £70,000 + 25 days holiday + bank holidays, Pension scheme, Private medical insurance, Life insurance and much more!Permanent, hybrid, 2 days a week in central London, with the whole product team in on the same daysThree stage interview processIf you’re currently stuck maintaining someone else’s roadmap and you’d rather get your teeth into a real, widely used product, apply and message me.
