Product Owner – Digital BankingLocation: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Full-Time OnsiteContract: Initial 6–12 MonthsOpportunity: Strong potential to transition into a permanent positionWe are looking for an experienced Product Owner to join a major digital banking transformation programme in Riyadh.This is an opportunity to work within a large-scale, technology-led banking environment, taking ownership of digital products and customer journeys from initial concept and requirements through to delivery and continuous improvement.The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, UX/UI, architecture and other product teams to define requirements, prioritise the product backlog and ensure solutions deliver genuine customer and business value.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities are aligned with business and customer objectivesDefine the product vision, roadmap, features and delivery prioritiesTranslate business requirements and customer needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and functional requirementsLead requirements gathering and product discovery sessions with business and technology stakeholdersWork closely with engineering, architecture, UX/UI and QA teams throughout the delivery lifecycleDrive the development and enhancement of digital banking products and customer journeysPrioritise features based on customer value, commercial impact, regulatory requirements and technical dependenciesAct as the key link between business stakeholders and technology delivery teamsParticipate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectivesManage dependencies across multiple teams and product areasSupport UAT, product releases and go-live activitiesMonitor product performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvementEngage with senior stakeholders to provide visibility of product progress, risks and prioritiesRequired ExperienceStrong experience working as a Product Owner / Digital Product OwnerPrevious experience within Banking, Financial Services or FinTechExperience delivering customer-facing digital products, platforms or journeysStrong understanding of Agile product development and software deliveryExcellent experience creating and managing product backlogs, epics, user stories and acceptance criteriaExperience working closely with software engineering and technology teamsStrong stakeholder management skills, including working with senior business and technology stakeholdersAbility to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable requirements for development teamsExperience working across the full product lifecycle from discovery and requirements through development, testing and launchStrong communication, facilitation and workshop leadership skillsHighly DesirableExperience within Digital Banking, Mobile Banking or Online BankingExperience working for a digital-first or challenger bankKnowledge of areas such as onboarding, KYC, payments, cards, accounts, lending or customer servicingExperience delivering products within highly regulated environmentsPrevious experience working on large-scale banking transformation programmesExperience working within the Saudi Arabian or wider GCC banking marketArabic language skills would be advantageous but are not essentialThe OpportunityThis is an initial 6–12 month contract working on a significant digital banking programme in Riyadh, with a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent position.The role is full-time onsite in Riyadh, so candidates must already be based in Saudi Arabia or be willing to relocate for the assignment.
