Our technologies support clinical teams across emergency care, critical care, operating rooms, general wards and other healthcare environments.We are looking for a clinically strong, customer-focused Product Specialist – Patient Monitoring Systems to join our team and support the growth of our patient monitoring solutions across the region.About the RoleThis is not a purely commercial product role. We are looking for someone who understands the clinical environment, can confidently speak with doctors, nurses and hospital teams, and can translate clinical needs into practical product solutions.The ideal candidate may come from an ICU, critical care, emergency care, paramedic, nursing, biomedical or clinical application background. You should be comfortable demonstrating medical devices, training healthcare professionals, supporting product evaluations and working closely with sales teams, distributors and hospital stakeholders.You will act as the clinical and product expert for Patient Monitoring Systems, supporting pre-sales and post-sales activities, clinical training, product demonstrations, workshops, market feedback and customer engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Product SupportAct as the product and clinical application specialist for Patient Monitoring Systems and related solutions.Provide product demonstrations, clinical application support and hands-on training to doctors, nurses, biomedical teams, distributors and sales teams.Support customers during product evaluations, proof-of-concept activities, workshops and on-site clinical sessions.Understand customer needs in ICU, ER, OR, general ward and other hospital environments, and recommend appropriate solutions.Support customers before, during and after sales to ensure strong product understanding, correct usage and high satisfaction.Training & Knowledge DevelopmentDevelop and deliver product, solution-selling and clinical training materials for internal sales teams, distributors and end-users.Train and upskill sales teams and distributor teams so they can confidently position and explain Nihon Kohden solutions.Create product champions within distributor teams and support continuous learning through physical and online training.Maintain strong knowledge of Nihon Kohden products, technologies, IT solutions and related consumables.Customer & Market EngagementVisit customers with sales teams and distributors to support product promotion, clinical discussions and after-sales activities.Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders and clinical decision-makers.Gather customer feedback, market insights, competitor information and clinical needs to support product strategy and business planning.Attend exhibitions, congresses, workshops and customer events to promote Nihon Kohden solutions and strengthen brand awareness.Product Strategy & Business SupportWork closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Distributors and Headquarters to support product launches, go-to-market plans and business strategies.Support sales funnel reviews by identifying clinical drivers, customer needs and product positioning opportunities.Contribute to market analysis, sales reviews, product strategy discussions and business development activities.Support product registration coordination and launch preparation where required.Prepare product presentations, launch materials, training documents and campaign content in collaboration with internal teams.What We Are Looking ForRequired BackgroundBachelor’s degree or diploma in Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Emergency Medical Services, Paramedicine, Medical Technology or a related healthcare field.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a clinical, medical device, patient monitoring, critical care, emergency care, ICU, biomedical or clinical application environment.Strong understanding of patient monitoring systems, vital signs monitoring and hospital workflows.Ability to communicate confidently with doctors, nurses, biomedical engineers, purchasing teams and hospital management.Strong presentation, training and communication skills.Ability to travel for customer visits, training sessions, exhibitions and distributor support.Preferred ExperiencePrevious experience as an ICU nurse, critical care nurse, paramedic, clinical application specialist, biomedical specialist or medical device trainer.Experience with patient monitors, central monitoring systems, vital signs monitors, defibrillators, ventilators or other critical care devices.Experience supporting product demonstrations, clinical training, product evaluations or hospital workshops.Knowledge of medical device sales support, distributor management or product marketing is an advantage.Key CompetenciesStrong clinical understanding and confidence in hospital environments.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to explain technical and clinical concepts clearly to different audiences.Customer-focused mindset and strong relationship-building skills.Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.Team player who can work independently and take ownership.Positive, professional and brand-conscious attitude.Ability to understand both clinical needs and business objectives.Why Join Us?This is an exciting opportunity to move from the clinical environment into a specialist medical device role with a respected Japanese manufacturer.
