Production Accountant

Non-scripted TV Production ScaleupOpen on salary, dep on exp (Circa £45-60,000 + bonus & benefits)Newly Created Role due to rapid Growth!This fast growing TV Production scaleup requires an experienced and hands-on Production Accountant with a good working knowledge of PMI to join their finance team as their accounting lead on several key productions.Key Accountabilities: Be responsible for production finance management and budget cost reporting for multiple productionsBuild and maintain a strong relationship with Production Execs and Line ProducersComplete month-end reconciliations for the portfolio and ensure that there is a clear understanding over the month end position across revenue, gross profit and balance sheet itemsDeliver month end reporting packs for external use where requiredHold responsibility for credit control on allocated productions to help control cashflow. Ensure sales invoices are sent on time and accurately, then where appropriate chase outstanding debtContribute to annual production budgeting and financial forecasting processesBuild and maintain cashflows for each production, in multi-currency where requiredEnsure compliance in areas such as HMRC reporting, VAT, IR35 and payroll legislationReview and reconciliation of monthly production cost reports, including preparation of variance reports and assistproduction managers with commentary on variancesWork with production managers to ensure accurate financial control of all production costsMonitor all spend on your allocated productions, including supplier/freelancer invoice submission, petty cash spend, expense claims (ensuring correct invoicing and paperwork are submitted at all times)Assist in the delivery of any ad-hoc projects as and when neededRequired Background/Experience: Experienced Production Accountant from TV sectorGood knowledge of PMIExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAn analytical mind and good attention to detailAbility to develop strongworking relationshipsKnowledge of overseas tax credits and other governmental Film & TV incentives.
