Production Assistant

Teams collaborate closely across design, production, and operations to bring fashion-forward products to market efficiently.We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Production Assistant / Associate to support apparel development across multiple product categories!Please note: this is an on-site position in Midtown Manhattan where we work in office 5 days/week!Key ResponsibilitiesThe Production Assistant contributes to the seasonal production process by assisting with the placement, execution and follow-up of manufacturing orders and by ensuring the timely delivery of quality, profitable goods.Partner with Design and Merchandising to ensure timely execution of product development calendarPerform daily tracking of goods on order, in progress (WIP) and in-transit to ensure timely delivery according to development calendar; create and distribute production status report; follow-up with vendors, factories and Design/Merchandising as neededPartner with merchandisers to confirm the accuracy of size breaks, tickets, and item information; enter data into the approved vendor matrix, including costing and production capacity portfolioCreate, revise, input and maintain production orders and monitor transmission to factories; file and maintain records of purchase orders (POs); receive and track all pre-production samples and stock deliveriesMaintain product development logs, trim inventory/liability inventory, and production archives library; track non-compliance/claims chargebacks with vendors, where appropriateProvide general administrative support to the team as neededQualifications2+ years of apparel production experience requiredStrong understanding of apparel manufacturing and production workflowsProficient in Microsoft ExcelExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with strong follow-throughExperience working directly with overseas factories and vendors preferredWhat We OfferHealth Insurance, PTO, 401k, Summer Fridays!Exposure to the complete product lifecycle—from concept and product development through production and retail launch.Opportunity to support innovative programs for leading retailers and globally recognized brands.Collaborative and entrepreneurial work environment.Professional development and career advancement opportunities.Target compensation for this role starts at $60k/yr dependent on experience
