Production Director - Live Events & Site Delivery

Role SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Production Director - Live Events & Site Delivery to lead the physical production, build, operation, and dismantling of a major international football event in Saudi Arabia.This is a senior, site-focused role suited to an experienced event production professional who has delivered large-scale outdoor events, fan zones, festivals, sporting events, or complex temporary event environments.The Production Director will have overall responsibility for the physical delivery and production of the event sites, working closely with suppliers, contractors, technical teams, operations, and project leadership.The role will oversee the project from design development and procurement through build, live event operations, and final dismantling.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end production and physical delivery of multiple event sites.Oversee the construction, installation, operation, and dismantling of temporary event infrastructure and facilities.Manage key production suppliers, contractors, fabricators, and site teams.Own production schedules, site programmes, milestones, and delivery timelines.Coordinate the delivery of major physical event elements including structures, stages, screens, F&B facilities, shade structures, spectator areas, entertainment and activation areas.Work closely with the design, technical, operations, commercial, and health & safety teams to ensure coordinated site delivery.Lead site meetings, production coordination, progress reviews, and issue resolution.Ensure contractors and suppliers deliver to agreed specifications, quality standards, programme, and safety requirements.Take ownership of site health & safety, build methodology, access, logistics, and production readiness.Manage the transition from build to live event operations and subsequently through de-rig and site reinstatement.Identify production risks and proactively develop practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and local teams.Required SkillsStrong hands-on experience managing site build and physical event delivery.Strong understanding of temporary event infrastructure, construction, logistics, and site operations.Strong understanding of health & safety and event site compliance.Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines and changing site conditions.Experience Requirement15+ years of experience in live event production, with significant experience in large-scale outdoor events.Proven track record delivering major sporting events, fan zones, festivals, or large public events.Extensive experience managing contractors, production suppliers, fabricators, and multidisciplinary site teams.Proven experience managing complex production schedules and multiple workstreams simultaneously.Previous experience delivering major events in the GCC or Saudi Arabia is highly desirable.You will have experience taking a major event from pre-production and procurement through construction, site readiness, live operations, and dismantling, with the ability to manage multiple contractors and suppliers while maintaining programme, quality, safety, and delivery standards.Experience on large international sporting events, football fan zones, festivals, or comparable outdoor events will be highly valued.Location / Work ModeSaudi ArabiaAdditional NotesContract: October 2026 - February 2027
