Production Engineer – Manufacturing / Steel FabricationLocation: Saudi ArabiaIndustry: Manufacturing / Steel FabricationWe are supporting a well-established manufacturing and fabrication business in Saudi Arabia with the appointment of an experienced Production Engineer.This role will be responsible for supervising day-to-day production activities, ensuring fabrication work is delivered safely, efficiently, to the required quality standards, and within allocated budgets. The successful candidate will work closely with Production Supervisors and cross-functional teams including Quality, Design, Project Management and Procurement.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise production and fabrication activities to ensure output meets quality, cost and programme requirements.Control material wastage, man-hours and consumable usage against budget.Allocate manpower, machinery and other production resources effectively.Set daily production targets and monitor progress against the fabrication schedule.Coordinate with Quality Control, Design, Project Management and Procurement teams to resolve production issues.Review work orders, technical documentation and drawings before allocating work to supervisors.Ensure accurate production records, reports and documentation are maintained.Monitor attendance and timesheets for production teams.Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures.Support continuous improvement across production activities.RequirementsBSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.Approximately 5–7 years of relevant experience in Process or Static Equipment Fabrication.Candidates with a BSc should ideally have at least 5 years' fabrication-industry experience.Candidates with a Diploma should have approximately 8 years' fabrication-industry experience.Strong experience working within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.Good understanding of production planning, manpower allocation, quality and cost control.Strong coordination and supervisory skills.
