Production Engineer

Job Title: Production EngineerType: Permanent

Location: Amata City, Chon Buri, ThailandOverviewProvide Technical support to all concerned departments (Operation, Customer Support, Sales, Supply Chain, etc.)Provide work instructions and routings for the production, based on existing approved manuals or OEM dataPerform all engineering tasks which are required to introduce new capabilities (tools and equipment specification, development of work instructions, bills of materials, etc.Work with the OEM to get repair concessions as requiredBuild Technical Data base in ERP system Key ResponsibilitiesProvide work instructions, routings, BOM’s etc. for the production within IFS database, which is derived from OEM manuals or other approved data.Maintain and update work instructions to ensure they comply with the latest revision of approved data (especially OEM manuals) on a timely basisCo-ordinate and liaise with the OEM for repair concessionsAbility to work in a team environmentInitiate innovation or process improvements and cost reduction activities to support production for efficiency, turnaround times, quality, environmental, health and safety, etc.Provide technical assistance / clarification to Technicians for operational issuesWork overtime, also on weekends, as requiredAssist with investigations of warranty claims and Non-Conformances, as requiredSupport sales, customer service and others for technical assistanceWork on projects or new capability development, as requiredPerform other duties as assignedJoin daily toolbox meetings at shopfloor and provide disposition where possibleReview parts scrappage with inspection team and provide appropriate solutionsReview manhours and do process mapping to reduce hoursTo provide technical support on urgent queries from customer supportProvide training & guide to New / Associate Engineers and shopfloor where necessaryResponsible for Setup New Capability to develop for New Products, including special processes, tooling & meet authority requirements.Responsible for development of routersKey RequirementsBachelor’s degree in engineering - Major in Aerospace, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or related experienceMinimum of 5years of working experience in aviation industryDecent knowledge of OEM Component Maintenance Manuel (CMM) and other technical dataDecent understanding of aviation regulations and quality systemsProficiency in working with relevant IT systemsSubject Matter Expert in the field of Landing Gear OverhaulKnowledge of landing gears or overhaul processes will be an advantage.Ability to read, write, understand English (TOEIC 550 or more)Able to read, interpret and understand engineering drawing, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)’s technical documents and other relevant documents in EnglishComputer literacy (Microsoft Office, ERP)Strong on problem solving, analytical skill, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and service mindKnowledge in Lean Sigma tools and their applicationKnowledge in the subjects of electrical, hydraulics or chemical plating will be an advantage.Long track record in improving production processesGood attendance and teamworkHigh level of commitment to work and compliance with procedures and regulationsGood interpersonal and communication skills both in EnglishRecruiter-in-chargeName: Rodney ChongEmail: rodney.chong@airswift.com
