Production Engineer

Al Watania For Industries is Hiring: Production EngineerIndustry: Manufacturing (Plastics / Metal Can Making / Paper Products)About the Role:We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team. You will plan, run and improve daily production operations to meet targets for output, quality, cost and safety. Hands-on experience in a Plastic, Can Making (Metal/Steel), or Paper Product factory is required.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, schedule and supervise daily production activities to meet output and delivery targets.Monitor production lines and machine performance, and resolve technical and process issues quickly.Improve processes to raise efficiency, reduce waste and scrap, and lower production costs.Track and report KPIs such as OEE, downtime, yield, scrap rate and productivity.Work with the Maintenance team on preventive maintenance and fast breakdown recovery.Work with the Quality team to make sure products meet specifications and customer requirements.Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for production problems.Support new product trials, line setups, changeovers and machine commissioning.Train and guide operators and technicians on standard operating procedures (SOPs).Enforce health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards on the shop floor.Prepare shift reports, production records and documentation.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering.1–7 years of production experience in a Plastic, Can Making (Metal/Steel), or Paper Product factory (mandatory).Strong knowledge of related processes, such as:1-Plastics: injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, thermoforming2- Can making: metal forming, stamping, coating, printing, seaming, two-piece or three-piece can lines3- Paper: converting, corrugation, printing, die-cutting, laminatingWorking knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and Six Sigma tools.Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 or similar quality systems (preferred).Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle (preferred).Strong problem-solving, leadership and communication skills.Willingness to work in shifts when needed.
