Apply & track with Apply EdgeMain Tasks & Responsibilities:Oversee and coordinate the activities of Production Group Leaders and assembly workers across assigned production areas.Execute the approved daily production plan in coordination with the Production Planning Engineer and ensure shop floor activities are aligned with production priorities and sequence.Allocate and balance manpower according to the daily production plan, workload, skills, absences, and operational priorities.Monitor hourly and daily production progress, identify deviations from targets, and take immediate operational action or escalate issues when required.Ensure assembly work is performed according to approved assembly documentation, standard work, quality requirements, and required production records.Coordinate closely with Quality, Logistics/Stores, Maintenance and other supporting functions regarding material shortages, quality concerns, equipment issues and other constraints affecting production.Monitor line-side material availability and coordinate shortages with Logistics/Stores to prevent production delays.Conduct daily/start-of-shift briefings with Group Leaders covering production targets, priorities, safety, quality issues and special instructions.Ensure production documentation, checklists and traceability requirements are completed correctly and on time.Enforce health and safety requirements, conduct regular safety briefings, and immediately address or escalate unsafe conditions and practices.Identify recurring production and quality issues, support root-cause analysis and corrective actions, and follow up implementation of approved improvements.Coach and develop Group Leaders and production personnel to improve performance, discipline, technical capability and teamwork.Maintain effective communication with the Head of Production & Logistics and provide timely status updates on production performance, manpower, constraints and major issues.Competencies & Skills:Strong leadership and team management abilities with practical shopfloor supervision experience.Good knowledge of truck/vehicle assembly processes, production documentation, safety requirements and quality control procedures.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to make timely and informed operational decisions.Ability to plan and balance manpower, coordinate multiple production areas and work effectively under changing priorities.Good communication and coordination skills across Production, Planning, Quality, Logistics and supporting departments.Basic computer skills and ability to work with production reports, checklists and Microsoft Office tools.Personal Traits:Leadership: Able to lead Group Leaders and production teams with clear direction and accountability.Problem-Solver: Proactively identifies issues and drives practical containment and follow-up actions.Detail-Oriented: Maintains attention to quality, safety, documentation and production standards.Resilient: Able to handle production pressure while remaining focused and composed.Team-Oriented: Promotes cooperation across teams and supporting functions.Adaptable: Responds effectively to changes in production priorities, sequence and manpower requirements.Education & Experience:Technical or Vocational Diploma in automotive, mechanical, electrical, industrial or a related technical field.Minimum 4–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, including supervisory/team leadership experience.
