ASMEF delivers complex projects with a strong focus on safety, quality, operational excellence, and timely project execution.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Production Lead to plan, coordinate, and oversee production activities across projects in the yard, onboard vessels, and at project sites. The role will be responsible for optimizing manpower, machinery, materials, and other resources to achieve project deliverables within the allocated schedule, budget, and required quality standards, while maintaining a strong focus on HSE and productivity.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, execute, and coordinate production activities across projects in the yard, onboard vessels, and at project sites in line with project schedules and deliverables.Ensure all production personnel comply with Company HSE policies, procedures, and systems, including participation in daily and task-specific Tool Box Talks.Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Procurement, and QA/QC to ensure production work packages, drawings, materials, consumables, procedures, and other project information are available as required.Optimize manpower, machinery, materials, and other available resources in consultation with the Operations Manager to meet project requirements and schedules.Identify resource shortages and constraints and promptly escalate requirements for additional manpower, equipment, materials, or services.Monitor production productivity and efficiency and take appropriate action to minimize underutilization, wastage, and rework.Identify opportunities to improve productivity through automation, new production techniques, equipment, and improved processes.Supervise and monitor Production Staff and Trade Supervisors to ensure effective resource planning, productivity, and timely project deliverables.Ensure production activities comply with project specifications, work instructions, procedures, quality requirements, and approved work practices.Monitor housekeeping across the yard, including quay-side areas, to maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.Monitor and evaluate productivity by trade, activity, project, and work package, providing regular performance feedback and identifying improvement opportunities.Coordinate with HSE and Security to safeguard personnel, equipment, materials, and company assets across the yard and project locations.Participate in accident and incident investigations and implement agreed corrective and preventive actions.Plan and regulate leave schedules for reporting personnel in line with project workload and operational requirements while maintaining workforce discipline.Conduct daily production review meetings to allocate resources according to project priorities, identify bottlenecks, and ensure timely deliverables.Coordinate and resolve interdepartmental issues to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.Identify and manage risks associated with production activities.Ensure compliance with HSE, Quality, and Project Management Systems and maintain all required production records, including lessons learned.Recommend improvements to production standards, procedures, processes, and practices where applicable.Carry out any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Operations Manager in support of Company requirements.Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in a relevant technical or engineering discipline.10–15 years of relevant experience in production, fabrication, construction, shipyard, Oil & Gas, EPC, or heavy engineering environments.Proven experience in production planning, resource allocation, productivity monitoring, and project execution.Strong experience managing manpower, machinery, materials, and multiple production activities.Experience supervising Production Staff, Trade Supervisors, and work teams in a fabrication or yard environment.Good understanding of fabrication and production processes, project schedules, work packages, drawings, materials, and quality requirements.Strong ability to identify production bottlenecks, manage constraints, and drive productivity improvements.Experience coordinating with Planning, Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and other project functions.Strong knowledge of HSE requirements and safe production practices.Good problem-solving, communication, coordination, and leadership skills.Why Join Us?Join ASMEF and take a key leadership role in managing production activities across complex Oil & Gas, marine, fabrication, and ship repair projects.
