Barts Health is committed to providing safe, high-quality, equitable care for patients from some of the most varied and deprived communities in the country.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Production Manager – Radiopharmacy role based in Greater London. The Production Manager will oversee day-to-day operations within the radiopharmacy, ensuring the safe, timely, and compliant preparation of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic use. Responsibilities include managing production schedules, supervising technical and support staff, and maintaining adherence to GMP, radiation safety regulations, and local quality management systems. The role will involve validating and monitoring equipment and processes, managing documentation and batch records, and supporting inspections and audits. The Production Manager will collaborate closely with clinical, medical physics, and nuclear medicine teams to optimize service delivery, support training and competency assessment, and drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and patient care.Qualifications Strong radiopharmacy or nuclear medicine production experience, including practical knowledge of radiopharmaceutical preparation, aseptic techniques, and radiation safety.Demonstrated understanding of GMP, MHRA requirements, and quality management systems within a healthcare or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.Leadership and people-management skills, including supervision, workload planning, coaching, and supporting staff development in a multidisciplinary team.Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to prioritize, manage risk, and respond effectively to operational challenges in a time-sensitive setting.Clear and accurate written and verbal communication skills, with experience in documentation, SOP development, incident reporting, and collaboration with clinical stakeholders.Relevant degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, medical physics, radiopharmacy, or a related scientific discipline; registration with an appropriate professional body is desirable.Experience in an NHS, hospital, or regulated healthcare setting, with a commitment to patient safety, equality, and inclusive practice.Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and to contribute to training of junior colleagues and learners.
