Teams collaborate closely across design, production, and operations to bring fashion-forward products to market efficiently.We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Production Manager to support apparel development across multiple product categories!Please note: this is an on-site position in Midtown Manhattan where we work in office 5 days/week!Key ResponsibilitiesManage the full production calendar, ensuring alignment with seasonal buy plans and customer delivery windowsIssue, track, and follow up on purchase orders through every stage of productionMonitor work-in-progress (WIP) reports and proactively flag at-risk ordersCoordinate fabric, trim, and material sourcing timelines with factories to avoid production delaysServe as the primary liaison with overseas factories on production status, capacity planning, and issue resolutionNegotiate production costs, minimums, and lead timesEnsure factories adhere to compliance, labor, and quality standardsOversee quality control processes and inspections at key production milestonesManage resolution of quality issues, including negotiating chargebacks or debits with factories when applicableEnsure all production complies with company standards and applicable regulatory requirementsPartner with logistics and shipping teams to ensure timely container bookings and on-time delivery to distribution centers and retail partnersTrack past-due and at-risk shipments, escalating issues and driving resolutionReconcile production data against shipping and invoicing records to confirm accuracyPrepare and present regular production status reports, KPIs, and past-due analyses to leadershipSupport financial reporting by providing accurate production cost and timeline dataQualifications6+ years of experience in production management within the apparel, fashion, or textile industry. Sweaters experience a huge plus!Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferredProven track record managing production overseasExperience managing production for both wholesale and off-price retail channels a plusAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)Strong understanding of costing terms including FOB, LDP, and DDPFamiliarity with international shipping, customs, and logistics processesStrong negotiation and vendor management skillsSharp attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy under deadline pressureExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionallyProblem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate and resolve production risks proactivelyComfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentWhat We OfferHealth Insurance, PTO, 401k, Summer Fridays!Exposure to the complete product lifecycle—from concept and product development through production and retail launch.Opportunity to support innovative programs for leading retailers and globally recognized brands.Collaborative and entrepreneurial work environment.Professional development and career advancement opportunities.Target compensation for this role starts at $80k/yr dependent on experience
