Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout the CompanyOur client is a fast-growing health and wellness business combining manufacturing, technology and innovation to create high-quality nutritional products.About the RoleAs the business continues to scale, they’re looking for an experienced Production Manager to take ownership of manufacturing performance across shifts and ensure production runs safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage production teams across assigned shifts, including Team Leaders and Production Operatives.Deliver daily production plans against targets for output, quality, cost, waste and efficiency.Ensure effective shift handovers and clear communication of production priorities, issues and performance.Monitor production KPIs and take corrective action when performance falls below target.Maintain high standards of GMP, food safety, hygiene, health & safety and quality compliance.Ensure appropriate staffing and resource allocation across production lines.Coach, develop and performance-manage team members, creating a high-performance and accountable culture.Identify bottlenecks, downtime and waste and implement practical improvements.Drive continuous improvement / Lean manufacturing initiatives across the operation.Work closely with Engineering to minimise downtime and ensure equipment issues are resolved quickly.Partner with Quality to investigate non-conformances and implement corrective and preventative actions.Support new product introductions, process changes and production scale-up.Maintain accurate production records and provide clear performance reporting to senior management.Ensure all SOPs, processes and operational standards are consistently followed.QualificationsYou’ll ideally have previous experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Shift Manager or Senior Production Supervisor within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Required SkillsExperience within food, nutrition, supplements, FMCG, pharmaceutical or another highly regulated manufacturing environment would be particularly relevant.Strong people-management experience.Confidence managing production KPIs.Track record of improving output, efficiency, waste, downtime and quality.Preferred SkillsKnowledge of GMP, HACCP, Lean/continuous improvement and health & safety would be advantageous.Pay range and compensation packageThis is a shift-based Production Manager position, so candidates must be comfortable working a rotating/flexible production shift pattern and providing leadership across operational hours.Equal Opportunity StatementThis is an opportunity to join an innovative, growing health and wellness manufacturer at a stage where strong production leadership can have a significant impact.
