Company: Patel Dairy Products Private Limited – Chhaswala Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat – Factory Based-Kuha Industry: Dairy / FMCG Experience: 7–12 Years Employment: Full-Time, On-Site Salary: Not DisclosedRole OverviewWe are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager – Dairy Products to oversee and manage day-to-day production operations for buttermilk (Chhas) and other dairy products.The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, consistent product quality, optimum utilization of manpower and resources, and compliance with food safety, hygiene, and dairy industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, manage, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.Oversee the complete production process for buttermilk (Chhas) and other dairy products.Ensure production is carried out according to approved formulations, processes, quality parameters, and production schedules.Coordinate with Quality Control, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, and other departments for smooth operations.Monitor manpower deployment, machine utilization, raw material consumption, production efficiency, and wastage.Ensure consistent product quality, taste, texture, shelf life, and packaging standards.Implement and maintain GMP, GHP, HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.Drive initiatives for process improvement, cost reduction, productivity enhancement, and waste reduction.Monitor production-related MIS, prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports, and track key performance indicators.Ensure proper handling, storage, and utilization of milk, cultures, ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products.Work closely with the Quality team to investigate production deviations, customer complaints, and quality issues.Ensure compliance with applicable dairy and food safety regulations and company SOPs.Train, guide, and supervise production staff to maintain discipline, productivity, and operational standards.Maintain proper production records, batch documentation, and traceability.Coordinate preventive maintenance requirements with the Engineering/Maintenance team to minimize downtime.Support new product trials, process validation, scale-up, and product improvement initiatives.Ensure a safe, clean, hygienic, and efficient factory environment.Candidate Profile7–12 years of relevant experience in Dairy/FMCG/Food Production.Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Technology, Food Technology, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.Strong hands-on experience in dairy or food manufacturing operations.Good knowledge of dairy processing, production planning, quality control, hygiene, and food safety systems.Understanding of GMP, GHP, HACCP, SOPs, and relevant food safety requirements.Strong leadership and people-management skills.Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination abilities.Experience in production MIS, reporting, and performance monitoring.Ability to manage production targets in a fast-paced factory environment.Strong focus on productivity, quality, safety, and cost optimization.Must be willing to work full-time and on-site in Ahmedabad.What We’re Looking ForA hands-on production professional who can effectively manage people, processes, machines, materials, quality, and production targets, while maintaining the highest standards of dairy manufacturing and food safety.
