Production Manager

The final offer will be determined based on the candidate’s alignment with the role.Roldan Executive Search Group has been exclusively retained by a fast-growing, high-performance player in the Consumer Products industry that is constantly innovating.We are seeking a highly analytical, results-driven, hands-on PRODUCTION MANAGER to play a critical role leading people, processes, equipment, quality, and production schedules while maintaining rigorous standards for safety, product quality, regulatory compliance, productivity, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Operations:Lead and oversee daily manufacturing operations, including chemical weighing and dispensing, compounding, mixing, batching, filling, packaging, and related production activities.2. Chemical Compounding & Batch Manufacturing:Oversee the preparation and processing of chemical formulations used in the products. Ensure raw materials and chemical compounds are properly weighed, identified, handled, mixed, processed, and documented according to approved formulas, batch records, and manufacturing instructions.3. Production Scheduling & Execution:Work closely with Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality, and other functional areas to translate production plans into daily manufacturing priorities. Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and capacity to achieve production targets and customer delivery requirements.4. Regulatory & GMP Compliance:Ensure manufacturing activities comply with applicable requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices, OSHA regulations, California workplace and environmental requirements, and internal quality and safety standards.5. Quality & Product Compliance:Partner closely with Quality Assurance and Quality Control to ensure products are manufactured according to approved formulations, specifications, procedures, and quality standards.6. Batch Documentation & Traceability:Ensure accurate and timely completion of batch records, production reports, material consumption records, lot traceability documentation, equipment logs, and other required manufacturing documentation.7. People Leadership & Workforce Management:Lead, coach, develop, and hold accountable production supervisors, leads, operators, compounders, and other manufacturing personnel.8. Continuous Improvement:Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, workflow, material utilization, labor efficiency, quality, changeover reduction, waste elimination, and manufacturing cost.9. Equipment & Maintenance Coordination:Work closely with Maintenance to ensure mixers, tanks, pumps, filling lines, packaging equipment, and other production assets are properly maintained and available to support manufacturing requirements.10. Inventory & Material Control:Partner with Planning, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to ensure appropriate availability and control of raw materials, chemicals, packaging components, work-in-process, and finished goods.

Requirements

1. Experience:Minimum of 7+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, including at least 3–5 years in a production leadership or management role within a chemical, liquids, pharmaceutical, food processing, or other regulated process-manufacturing environment.2. Industry Experience:Direct experience in chemical compounding, liquids, food processing, or similar batch-processing manufacturing is strongly preferred. Experience with chemicals compounds for the human care is highly desirable.3. Chemical Manufacturing Knowledge:Strong understanding of batch manufacturing processes, chemical compounds, raw material handling, mixing and compounding operations, formulation controls, weighing and dispensing, and manufacturing documentation.4. Leadership:Demonstrated ability to lead manufacturing teams in a fast-paced environment, establish accountability, develop employees, resolve conflicts, and create a strong culture of safety, quality, and operational discipline.5. Operational & Analytical Skills:Strong ability to analyze manufacturing performance, identify root causes, solve operational problems, and use production data to improve productivity, quality, yield, labor efficiency, and cost.6. Systems & Computer Skills:Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing reporting systems. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other standard business applications.7. Language Skills:Fully Bilingual in English and Spanish is required (spoken and written).8. Work Authorization:Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
