Production Manager

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations for our client, a leader in the specialty chemical and plastics manufacturing sector. Reporting to Senior Management, you will plan, direct, and optimize production processes to meet output targets while maintaining strict adherence to quality, safety, and cost efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Scheduling: Oversee daily plant production schedules to maximize output and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.Process Optimization & Efficiency: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), yield, scrap rate, and downtime, implementing continuous process improvements.Quality & Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).Cost & Resource Management: Control operational expenditure, manage raw material utilization, and reduce waste across production lines.Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor production line supervisors and operators to foster a safe, productive, and continuous-learning environment.Requirements & QualificationsExperience: Minimum 5+ years of continuous experience in a Production Manager or Senior Production Supervisor role within specialty chemicals, plastics, polymer compounding, or related process manufacturing industries.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of manufacturing process flows, OEE management, Lean Manufacturing / 5S principles, and root cause analysis.Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills in English.
