Sewtech Fashions Limited is looking for Production Manager (Woven Factory)Job Description / ResponsibilityEnsure smooth and efficient sewing line operations from line input to finished garments.Plan and balance sewing lines according to style, order quantity, SMV/SAM, manpower, and available machine capacity.Monitor line loading, line efficiency, hourly production, WIP, and target achievement on a daily basis.Ensure proper allocation of manpower and machines to achieve optimum sewing line efficiency.Monitor DHU, alteration, rejection, rework, and defect rates and take corrective actions to minimize quality losses.Coordinate with IE to improve line balancing, workstation layout, manpower utilization, and sewing line efficiency.Ensure proper line feeding and availability of cut panels, trims, accessories, thread, and approved samples to avoid production stoppage.Follow up with Cutting, Quality, IE, Finishing, PPC, and Maintenance teams to resolve sewing-floor issues promptly.Monitor first-piece approval, inline inspection, end-line quality, and critical operation points to maintain buyer-required quality standards.Ensure operators follow approved operation methods, work instructions, quality standards, and critical operation requirements.Identify bottleneck operations and take immediate action to improve production flow and reduce downtime.Monitor machine breakdowns, idle time, absenteeism, and other production interruptions and coordinate with relevant departments for quick resolution.Ensure proper implementation of new style/SMV, operation breakdown, machine layout, and line setup before bulk production.Conduct regular production-floor meetings with Supervisors, Line Leaders, IE, and Quality teams to review targets, issues, and corrective actions.Monitor sewing line performance against hourly and daily targets and take necessary action to recover production shortfalls.Ensure effective utilization of operators through multi-skilling, cross-training, and proper manpower allocation.Support continuous improvement initiatives such as line balancing, method improvement, motion reduction, and productivity enhancement.Ensure minimum WIP and smooth production flow between operations while avoiding overproduction.Analyze sewing production data and prepare reports on efficiency, productivity, quality, manpower, downtime, and target vs. actual performance.Ensure proper implementation of 5S, safety, housekeeping, and discipline throughout the sewing floor.Work closely with the IE team to achieve required SAM/SMV, efficiency, target, and capacity utilization with minimum resource wastage.Take ownership of sewing production performance and ensure timely completion of all styles/orders according to the approved production plan.Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets as per the approved production plan and take immediate corrective action in case of any shortfall.Ensure timely input of cut panels from the Cutting Department to the sewing lines as per the production plan to avoid line stoppage and production loss.Coordinate closely with Cutting, PPC, IE, Quality, Finishing, Maintenance, and other relevant departments to ensure uninterrupted sewing production.Monitor cutting input vs. sewing output and ensure sufficient cut panels are available at the sewing floor according to line requirements.Ensure proper line feeding and timely availability of all required materials, trims, accessories, and approved samples before starting production.Conduct regular counselling and performance discussions with Supervisors, Line Leaders, Operators, and Helpers to improve productivity, discipline, attendance, quality, and target achievement.Identify performance gaps among production employees and provide necessary guidance, counselling, motivation, and corrective measures to improve individual and team performance.Educational RequirementsBachelor/HonorsBachelor/HonorsSkills Required: Production Management (Sewing), Industrial & Production Engineering, Garment productionExperience Requirements10 to 15 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):Garments,Garments AccessoriesJob LocationChattogram (Chattogram EPZ)
