Operations & Production Manager Core Job SummaryThe Operations Manager oversees the end-to-end manufacturing process to deliver high-quality custom and standardized sheet metal enclosures efficiently. The Operations Manager directs the entire enclosure manufacturing workflow from raw sheet metal to fully finished, coated, and assembled products.The role requires a hands-on leader who can coordinate multi-stage production lines, maintain cosmetic and structural quality, and optimize machine utilization to hit tight delivery deadlines.Key ResponsibilitiesMulti-Stage Scheduling: Coordinate daily/weekly schedules across distinct fabrication cells: CNC laser/punching, press brake bending, powder coating, and hardware assembly.Process Optimization: Minimize lead times and eliminate bottlenecks, particularly at high-demand stations.Quality & Finish Control: Enforce tight dimensional tolerances for precise enclosure fitment and maintain strict inspection standards for powder coat thickness, adhesion, and cosmetic finish.Assembly: Structure the final assembly line for efficient hardware insertion (PEM fasteners, hinges, gaskets) and electrical/mechanical component integration.Workforce Management: Supervise and cross-train a diverse team of CNC operators, laser operators, brake press setup technicians, powder painters, and assembly personnel.Asset & Maintenance Care: Oversee preventative maintenance for high-value assets, including laser cutters, multi-axis press brakes, and paint booths/ovens to prevent downtime.Material & Scrap Reduction: Monitor sheet metal nesting efficiency to minimize raw material scrap and control chemical/powder consumption on the paint line.BOM: Approving the final bill of material prepared by the design and engineering team and finalized by the production ERP team following the As-Built Manufacturing.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent technical diplomaExperience: 7+ years of operational management experience specifically within a precision sheet metal fabrication environment focused on enclosures or cabinets.Technical Knowledge: Production planning soft wares and Manufacturing execution systems such as MES/MRP…etc. Plus advanced understanding of CNC laser nesting optimization, sheet metal bend deductions, robotic welding arc trajectories…etcSkills: Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, utilize ERP/MES systems for job tracking, and apply Lean manufacturing principles to cell layouts.Language: Strong command of English or Arabic.Production Planning | Manufacturing Operations | CNC Machining | Sheet Metal Fabrication | Press Brake Operations | Powder Coating | Assembly Operations | BOM Management | Quality Control | Preventive Maintenance | Lean Manufacturing | Team Management
