Position OverviewThe Consumables Production Lead is a highly skilled production operator who ensures production targets are met while maintaining high quality standards. The Lead oversees production documentation and helps maintain GMP compliance across Operations. This role requires the ability to communicate production plans, lead the production team, and navigate team dynamics such as conflict, motivation, and engagement.This is a FT position working first shift Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday; 6am-4:30pm Start Date: This is a full-time position expected to begin in January 2027. The Weekend Production Operator Lead will support the launch and ongoing operation of the new weekend production shift. ResponsibilitiesWork safely and follow all safety rules at all timesSolve problems and communicate issues and resolutions to production managementLearn to troubleshoot production systemsLead up to 15 employees with patience and professionalismManage the PHR review and correction process, ensuring GMP is followedMaintain an up-to-date Preventive Maintenance scheduleLead the shift, overseeing attendance, break coverage, emergencies and evacuations, personnel performance and production issue reporting, and interdepartmental communicationCommunicate effectively with senior managementServe as the primary point of contact for receiving and communicating shift pass-downsHold team members accountable for meeting production targetsDevelop team members’ technical and leadership skillsWork with minimal supervision while supporting and driving process improvements and team cultureEnsure materials are stocked, kitted, and prepared for the production dayProcess transactions in SAP dailyPerform shift startups and shutdownsPerform other duties as assigned by the ManagerQualifications & Experience High school diploma with 2+ years of experience, or an Associate’s degreeStrong verbal and written communication skills, sufficient to manage cGMP documentation practicesAbility to lead and manage team dynamics, including conflict, motivation, and engagementExcellent aseptic process and laboratory skillsAbility to adhere to a production scheduleAbility to work overtime, including off-schedule shifts and periodic weekendsBasic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeCommitment to updating work processes and driving continuous improvementWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. In addition to base pay, our full-time regular employees are eligible for an attractive benefits package, cash incentive opportunities, and an equity grant. The hourly rate for this position is $34-$36/hr.Starting payrates are determined based on skills, experience, budget and other job-related factors.
