Supervise Production StaffLead machine operators, helpers, and production assistants by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, ensuring discipline, and providing guidance during operational challenges C. Ensure Quality StandardsInspect printed materials, verify color accuracy, alignment, finishing quality, and ensure all output meets client specifications and internal quality benchmarks D. Monitor Machine PerformanceCheck machine settings, printing parameters, and operational conditions; identify abnormalities and coordinate with the maintenance team for timely repairs.E. Plan and Organize Production SchedulesPrepare daily and weekly production plans, allocate manpower, prioritize urgent jobs, and ensure optimal utilization of machines and resources.F. Manage Raw Materials and InventoryTrack ink, paper, packaging materials, and consumables; raise timely requests to the warehouse to avoid shortages and production delays.G. Implement SOPs and Safety GuidelinesEnsure all staff follow standard operating procedures, safety rules, PPE requirements, and printing‑machine handling protocolsH. Maintain Production DocumentationPrepare daily production reports, machine downtime logs, material usage records, and submit accurate data to the Production Manager.I. Train and Develop StaffConduct on‑the‑job training for new operators, refresh training for existing staff, and ensure everyone is updated on new processes or machine upgrades J. Drive Continuous ImprovementIdentify bottlenecks, propose workflow improvements, reduce waste, enhance productivity, and support cost‑saving initiatives.3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Measures total printed/produced units per shift/day against the planned target to ensure productivity levels are met Tracks the percentage of error‑free, defect‑free printed materials delivered, ensuring adherence to quality standards and client specifications Monitors total downtime hours caused by breakdowns, setup delays, or operational interruptions; lower downtime indicates better planning and supervision.Measures the percentage of jobs completed within the scheduled timeframe, reflecting efficiency in workflow management.Tracks ink, paper, and consumable usage to ensure minimal waste and optimal resource utilization Evaluates operator productivity, adherence to SOPs, attendance, and overall discipline under the supervisor’s leadership Measures adherence to safety protocols, PPE usage, machine‑handling guidelines, and operational SOPsAssesses the accuracy and completeness of daily production reports, downtime logs, and material usage records.Tracks how quickly the supervisor responds to production issues, machine faults, or workflow delays4. Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma/ITI in Printing Technology, Production, Mechanical, or related field 3–5 years of experience in printing or production operations, with supervisory experience preferred Logistics, Supply Chain or Business administration degree or diplomaExperience in managing shift work is advantageousForklift operator and / or other MHE licenced operator (working at heights required)5. Skills & CompetenciesContinuous improvement (6 sigma, lean methodology, 6S) proven track recordProduct knowledge of bearings, power transmission, electric motors, etc. a strong advantageHighly computer literate, proficient in MS Excel, Word and OutlookSystems knowledge, ERP e.g. SAPThe job requires strong written and oral communication skillsHighly effective interpersonal skills needed including conflict management
