Production Supervisor

The CompanyA well-established manufacturing business specialising in high-quality engineered products is seeking to recruit a Production Supervisor to join its growing team.Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in leading production operations, ensuring customer orders are delivered on time, and driving quality, safety and continuous improvement across your area.The CandidateThe successful candidate will have previous experience leading a production or manufacturing team and be confident managing people, production planning and shop floor performance.You should have:Previous supervisory experience leading a team of 10+ peopleManufacturing experienceStrong leadership and communication skillsGood organisational and planning abilityExperience working to production schedules and KPIsA proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvementThe ability to motivate, coach and develop production teamsGood IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams and emailA flexible approach with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentThe RoleLead, motivate and support a production team to achieve daily production targetsPlan and organise shop floor production to meet customer delivery schedulesAllocate workloads and manage workflow across the departmentEnsure production is carried out safely while maintaining high quality standardsPromote and maintain 5S and safe working practices throughout the production areaMonitor productivity and performance against company KPIsIdentify production bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase efficiencyEnsure production staff are working to the latest SOPs, engineering drawings, ECNs, CCNs and Quality AlertsTrain, mentor and develop team members to improve flexibility across the production departmentManage holidays, overtime, attendance and timekeepingSupport the onboarding and training of new employeesWork closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Stores and Production Control teams to ensure production objectives are achievedLiaise with the Production Manager regarding staffing, production issues and operational improvementsPromote a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturingCarry out any other duties required to support the manufacturing operationBenefitsUp to £34,000Company pensionOngoing training and developmentOpportunity to lead and develop a successful production teamModern manufacturing environmentStable and growing business
