Production Supervisor

Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be supporting an established specialist engineering manufacturer in Huddersfield to recruit a Production Supervisor. This is a varied position combining day-to-day production leadership with practical engineering support, continuous improvement and responsibility for quality, safety and performance.You’ll be joining a close-knit manufacturing operation where you can make a genuine impact on the factory floor.What’s on offerSalary: £35,000Monday-to-Friday day shift with a 12:30pm finish every FridayKey responsibilities of the Production Supervisor include:Managing production staffing and daily shop-floor activitiesEnsuring output, quality and delivery targets are achievedLeading, developing and motivating production employeesSupporting the assembly and testing of products when requiredManaging the maintenance and improvement of production equipment and toolingTroubleshooting manufacturing issues and identifying root causesSupporting continuous improvement projects and future business growthMaintaining strong communication across the production teamEnsuring health, safety and environmental procedures are followedMaintaining high housekeeping standards and a clean, safe workplaceWe’re looking for experienced Production Supervisors with the below skills & experience:Previous experience supervising within an engineering or manufacturing environmentA time-served engineering backgroundThe ability to operate lathes and milling machines would be beneficialStrong problem-solving and process-improvement skillsConfident communication and people-management abilitiesExcellent attention to detail and sound judgementA flexible, hands-on approach, including occasional overtime when requiredIf you’re an experienced manufacturing supervisor who enjoys remaining close to the product, the people and the day-to-day operation, we’d love to hear from you.
