Operations Supervisor – 2nd ShiftLocation: Santa Clarita, CA | $90,000–$149,000 + 2nd Shift Differential | Contract through December 2027An established aerospace manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead a team across Inspection, Calibration and NDT on 2nd shift.This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader from a unionized manufacturing environment who enjoys developing teams, resolving challenges and keeping operations running smoothly. The role is primarily focused on leadership rather than performing technical work directly, with a team of approximately 14 employees.Key Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor:Supervise and support a team across Inspection, Calibration and NDT.Manage day-to-day performance, priorities and employee relations within a unionized environment.Address conflict, employee concerns and operational challenges while maintaining a positive team environment.Oversee inspection activities including measurements, certifications, First Article Inspections and AQL/sample inspections.Support technical problem-solving and communication between shifts.Assist with interviewing and selecting new team members.What We're Looking for from the Production Supervisor:Previous supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.Experience working with and managing unionized employees.Strong conflict-resolution and people-management skills.Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards.Experience within inspection, quality or manufacturing is highly desirable.Aerospace, medical or automotive manufacturing experience will be considered.Desirable Experience of the Production Supervisor:CMM experience, particularly Hexagon.First Article Inspection and AQL experience.Calibration experience.NDT experience, particularly ultrasonic and magnetic particle testing.NADCAP experience is beneficial but not required.This is an excellent opportunity to join an established aerospace organization in a long-term contract position through December 2027, with the potential for a short extension and a competitive salary of $90,000–$149,000.
